A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Eugenie (Charette) Theriault. Ray was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He leaves fifteen nieces and nephews; twenty-five great-nieces and nephews and three great-great nephews. Ray was the brother of the late Yvonne C. Langlois, Simonne M. Theriault, Noella Ouellette, Jeanne M. Griffin, John J., Bertrand J., Lucien J. Theriault, Therese M. Gendreau and Roger J. Theriault. Born in Stamford, CT, a son of the late Andrew and Theresa (Haughton) Hardiman. He resided in Lincoln before moving to Smithfield in 2000. Mr. Hardiman was an electrical engineer with Phillips Components for 42 years before retiring in 1992. He leaves a son, Dr. Michael J. Hardiman and his wife Natala of Richland, MI; a daughter, Sally E. King and her husband Frederick of Newport; a son-in-law, Vincent Salzillo of Johnston; a sister, Joan Hagen in CT; three grandchildren, Christopher J. Salzillo, Eric M. Salzillo and Emma Hardiman. He was the father of the late Susan L. Salzillo and William E. Hardiman and brother of the late Andrew Hardiman and his twin Donald Hardiman. (05/05/14) Lincoln – William N. Seaward, 89, of Kilburn Avenue died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. He was the husband of Jocelyn E. (Glassey) Sanford Seaward and the late Priscilla M. (Meharg) Seaward. Born in Newton, MA, a son of the late William S. and Inez A. (Corner) Seaward, he had lived in Lincoln for over 65 years. Mr. Seaward worked for the former E. L. Freeman Company in Providence and Pawtucket for over 40 years retiring as a store manager. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a longtime member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, Cumberland and had served on numerous boards at the Church. He was a charter member of the Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus and a charter member of Encore For Your Pleasure. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Bradford W. Seaward and his wife, Mary Lou of Pomfret, CT; his stepchildren, Susan Sanford of Fall River, MA and Scott Sanford of Cumberland; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Seaward. His funeral service will be celebrated THURSDAY, MAY 8 at 11 A.M. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 126 Angell Road, Cumberland. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Charles F., Sr. and Evelyn (Raycroft) Baker. Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a teacher in the Barrington School Department for 35 years until retiring from Barrington High School in 1990. Charles enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and especially enjoyed making lasting memories with his three grandchildren. He leaves three children, David C. Baker and his wife, Barbara of Barrington, Lynn A. Baker, and Steven J. Baker and his wife, Susan all of Pawtucket, and three grandchildren, Lauren Anne Baker, Timothy D. Born February 18, 1914, she was an active member and benefactor of St. Stanislaus Parish for many years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Hector and Marie (Guimond) Ouellette and the sister of the late Bertha Paquette, Cecile Pelletier, Eva Mathieu, Rita Pineault, Corinna Gagnon and Adrien, Leo, Henri, Rene and Robert Ouellette. (Giblin) Gallogly, of Wakefield, RI and formerly of Providence, RI, daughter of the late James and Margaret (Feeney) Giblin, died on May 5, 2014, at age 92 surrounded by her loving family. Mother of 11, grandmother of 28, great grandmother of 4, mother-in-law, aunt and friend, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Edward P. Gallogly, Chief Judge Emeritus of the RI Family Court. She was also predeceased by her dear sisters, Mary Giblin and Margaret (Peg) Tedeschi and her brother Joseph Giblin, her brother-in-law Norman Tedeschi, and by other relatives, including Mary and Timothy Hackman, Lawrence, Virginia, Thomas, Maureen and Vincent Gallogly, Rosella, Raymond and Patty McLaughlin, and Fred Mroz. She leaves her dear brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond Gallogly of Warwick, Rosellen Gallogly, RSM of Cumberland and New Bedford, MA and Ann Gallogly of Warwick, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Robert Tedeschi, Margaret (Peggy) Mroz and Norma Galoski and their families, and the families of Ed’s brothers and sisters. Florence is survived by her children and their loving spouses: E. Peter, Jr., Paul V., and Brian P. (Joanne Brasil Gallogly), all of Providence; Michael L. (Carol Whitney) of Richmond, VA; William J. (Rosemary Booth Gallogly) of Wakefield, RI; John P. (Mary Garripoli) of Los Angeles, CA; Robert E. of Oak Park, IL; Margaret R. (Albert Krieg) of Phoenix, AZ; Mark T. (Lise Strickler) of New York, NY; Mary M. Dickerson (David) of Melrose, MA, and Patricia E. Harris (Ray) of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessie (Paul Bennett), Michael, Patrick, Brendan, Terrance (Erin Callahan), Liam, Nora, Martin, Conor (Jen Wenschhof), Ann, Bridget, Caitlin, Eddie, Owen, Katharine, Grace, Nell, Tory, Katie, Ryan and Erin Gallogly; Austin and Ellen Harris; Jamie and Colin Dickerson; Joseph, Anna and John Krieg, and her step-grandchildren Bianca and Dominic Bonfim. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Liam and Sara Gallogly, and Desmond and Sage Bennett. A former parishioner at St. Michael\'s Church in South Providence, she later lived in Snug Harbor and Narragansett where she was a communicant at St. Francis Church in Wakefield, RI, and the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Narragansett, RI. Florence was a graduate of Classical High School (\'38) and RI College of Education (\'42) (now RIC). She worked as a social worker in RI before assisting returning WWII veterans as a Red Cross worker at Staten Island, NY. She married her late husband Ed in 1946 following his return from the war. She supported Ocean Tides and the Christian Brothers in Narragansett and volunteered at South County Hospital for many years. She belonged to Pt. Judith County Club, Snug Harbor East Matunuck Civic Association and was a member of Veridames at Providence College, Catholic Daughters of America and was a former member of the South Kingstown Democratic Town Committee. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her husband Ed’s legal, political and judicial careers while at the same time providing a loving home for her family. She enjoyed many other activities with family and friends, especially attending Providence College basketball games, traveling with Ed after his retirement, staying with her daughters Maggie and Patricia and their families in Phoenix, playing cards, knitting, reading mysteries and doing puzzles. In her later years, she looked forward to “Cousins’ Week” and spending time with her many grandchildren. She was blessed with good cheer and common sense and met the challenges and losses in life with grace and dignity. She was very grateful for all of her and Ed’s friends throughout Rhode Island. Florence was truly blessed with a good life and we will miss her very much. Her family is very thankful for the loving care and devotion shown to her by her friend, Barbara Dinucci. They are also appreciative of the compassionate care provided to her by the aides, nurses and doctors of Cathleen Naughton Associates, Home and Hospice Care of RI and South County Hospital. She was the mother of the late Wallace E. Sister Mary Antonella Melone, RSM - Cumberland, RI

(05/07/14) Melone, Sister Mary Antonella, 86, a Sister of Mercy and a former educator, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. Born Mary Florence Melone in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Rose (Marshall) Melone. She was a 1944 graduate of Cranston High School. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on September 8, 1947 and professed her perpetual vows on August 16, 1953. Sister Antonella\\\'s first ministry was service to her religious community, the Sisters of Mercy, from 1950 to 1955. Her teaching ministry began at St. Patrick School, Cumberland, and continued at Immaculate Conception School, West Warwick. In 1958 Sister returned to St. Patrick School, Cumberland, where she remained for twelve years. She was then assigned to Holy Ghost School, Providence, for 3 years and to St. Joseph School, Pascoag, until 1972. In 1972 she was assigned to St. Brendan School, Riverside, where she taught for ten years. In 1982, she was transferred to St. Mary Academy-Bay View where she assisted with the pre-schoolers for a number of years. She also was a neighborhood volunteer until 2002 when she retired to a ministry of prayer at Mount St Rita. Always engaged with people, even in retirement, Sister quietly extended herself to help those in need. Sister Antonella leaves her religious community, the Sisters of Mercy, and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edmund X. and Eugene J. Melone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Mount St Rita Chapel. Visitation will be in the Warde Room at Mount St. Rita from 9:15 to 10:50 with a Mercy Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Philip and Merena (Chenevert) Brouillard. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick. Rita was a bookkeeper at the former Abon Manufacturing Company in Cranston for several years before retiring. She was a communicant of SS. John and James Parish, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, a life member of Valley Country Club where she loved to golf, a member of the West Warwick Senior Center and enjoyed bowling at Mac’s Bowlaway Lanes. She is survived by several cousins and was the sister of the late Philip Brouillard. Born in Warwick, RI she was the daughter of Rita F. (Briggs) Hebert of Johnston and the late Leon R. Hebert. Vicky was a strong and caring person. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox and spending time with her family. She is sadly missed and will be remembered by her amazing personality. Besides her children and mother she is survived by a sister Christine Y. Verrier, a nephew Steven Verrier and her Brother-in-law Leo Verrier. Mary enjoyed many years of softball for Coventry Girls Softball. She graduated from Coventry High School in 1992. Mary loved watching her children play soccer and basketball on numerous town leagues. (05/09/14) Cumberland – Grace M. (Atkinson) Jackson, 105, formerly of Scott Road, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice, Providence. She was the wife of the late Samuel Jackson. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Anne (Ferguson) Atkinson and had lived in Cumberland for most of her life. Mrs. Jackson was an executive secretary in the textile industry in Norwich, CT and later worked at Ken Rowbottom’s Photography Studio in Cumberland before retiring. She was a member of the former Berkeley Methodist Church, Cumberland and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Lincoln. She is survived by two daughters, Judith A. Cyronak and her husband, Charles of Block Island and Joyce M. Jackson and her husband, Lawrence T. Mello of Tubac, AZ; her grandson-in-law, Michael J. Wrobleski and three great grandchildren, Wanda Grace Wrobleski, Joseph Samuel Wrobleski and Lucy Isabel Wrobleski, all of Providence. She was the grandmother of the late Andra K. Cyronak MD, and the sister of the late Arthur Atkinson, Mary Ellen Learned and Annie McDonald. Her funeral service will be celebrated MONDAY, MAY 12 at 11 A.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Ballou Cemetery, Ashton. Born in Providence a daughter of the late Antonio and Elizabeth (DiSaia) Ronci. Elena is survived by her beloved children, Kenneth A. Gianinni of Cape Coral FL., Stephen R. Giannini and his wife former State Representative Joanne M. Giannini of Providence and Thomas M. Giannini of Cranston Loving grandmother of Gianna and Thomas Giannini II and Alicia Smith. Sister of Anthony Ronci and his wife Anna and the late Frank C. Ronci, and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elena was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew\'s Church. She was an excellent cook and homemaker and loved being with her family and friends. Up until three weeks ago she was still cooking dinner every night.
