(04/28/14) Margaret M. Campanile, 79, of Mapledale Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of the late Albert Campanile. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Jennie (Mayers) Fontaine.
She was a textile worker for the former Engineer Yarn in Coventry, RI. She also worked in the jewelry industry and was a bus monitor for the town of West Warwick.
She is survived by her two children; Diana M. Begin and Cheryl M. McWilliams, four grandchildren; Charlene, Jennifer, Albert, and Michelle, eight great grandchildren and was predeceased by one great grandson. She was also predeceased by her sister; Madeline Attruia and three brothers; Ernest, John, and James Fontaine.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 9:00 am from the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church located on 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry, RI. (04/28/14) Pawtucket – Esther M. (Fritz) Villeneuve, 91, formerly of Oneida Street, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Herbert J. Villeneuve.
Born in Titonka, Iowa, a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Sprick) Fritz, she had lived in Pawtucket for 65 years.
Mrs. Villeneuve was a bookkeeper for the Blackstone Valley Gas & Electric Credit Union before retiring.
She attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
Mrs. Villeneuve served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Storekeeper First Class stationed in Norfolk, VA. She was a member, Past President, Vice President and Secretary of the Waves National, RI, Ocean State Unit #118. She volunteered at Veterans Medical Center, Providence and at Hospice. She was awarded the 2001 Patriot Award for her veteran service and was the first Rhode Island woman to receive this award.
She was a member of St. Matthew-Trinity Lutheran Church, Pawtucket and was Past President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Lutheran Church Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Beth DeFreitas and her husband, Eric of Riceville, TN and Lori Ann Ryan of Livingston, NJ; two sons, Bruce H. Villeneuve and his wife, Sandra of Wesley Chapel, FL and Kevin L. Villeneuve and his wife, Davina of East Greenwich; five grandsons and four granddaughters, Shane Villeneuve and his wife Melissa, David DeFreitas and his wife Crystal, Nathan DeFreitas, Merrick Villeneuve, Joshua Villeneuve, Tiffani Childress and her husband John, Kelly Cullen and her husband Michael, Brittany Ryan and her fiancé Eric Brodsky, and Jena Villeneuve; three great grandsons, Luke Jackson Childress, Ty Joseph Childress and Elijah David DeFreitas; two great step grandchildren, Braydon and Tyler Chapman; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William, Herman and Reinhart Fritz, and Emma Boekelman.
Her funeral will be celebrated THURSDAY, MAY 1 at 1 P.M. at St. Matthew-Trinity Lutheran Church, 690 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial, with military honors, will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

(04/28/14) Pawtucket - Helen Rita (Riendeau) Lunardelli. 98, was a beacon of light, generosity, and enduring love for her extended family and many friends. She passed peacefully on April 27, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised on Vine Street in the Darlington section of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Lena Purcell and Marcell Riendeau. She was the beloved sister of ten siblings, all of whom she survived including the equally devastating and prideful loss of her youngest brother, Raymond Riendeau, Army Ranger Corporal (T/5), who was killed on D-Day off Omaha Beach in Normandy on June 6, 1944. Married for 56 years to the love of her life, Joseph A. Lunardelli, Sr. who passed in 1992, they raised two children on Columbus Ave. in Pawtucket, where she was a near lifelong resident. She was the loving mother of the late Robbi DiSarro and is survived by her son, Joseph A. Lunardelli, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Warwick. She leaves seven grandchildren and in-laws including Jamie (DiSarro) and Harry Atwal, Justine (DiSarro) and Chris Caccia, Jody (DiSarro) and Scott O’Donnell, Eugene DiSarro, Jr., Michael and Kathryn (Friedman) Lunardelli, Eric and Petrina (Judd) Lunardelli, and Lily Lunardelli. She’s also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Helen was a very beautiful and special person, who shared a strong and joyful passion for life. She was the consummate daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, confidant and friend to so many. Known simply as “Nana” to her large and extended family, she will long be remembered and honored for her enduring and unconditional love, her selflessness, and her ability to bring family and loved ones together. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church in Pawtucket. An active member of the Senior Saints at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Seekonk, MA and the Red Hats of Seekonk for many years. Helen was also a dedicated employee for many years at Transcriber in Seekonk; Swiss Colony at the Midland Mall in Warwick and Appetites Restaurant in Coventry. LINCOLN – Kathleen F. Costa, 78, of Old River Road, died Sunday, April 27, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the companion of thirty-three years of the late Jacqueline Beattie.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Leapio and Alice (Horibin) Costa, she had lived in Pawtucket and Manville, before moving to Lincoln six years ago.
Miss Costa worked at Texas Instruments for thirty-four years, retiring as a Group Leader in 1998.
She is survived by three nieces, Lisa Jenard of Pawtucket, and Christin Costa and Kimberly Costa, both of Florida. She is also survived by her dear friends, the Malo, Kobani, Beattie & Hackett families. She was the sister of the late Robert Costa and Ronald Costa.

Ken was employed by Hoechst Chemical for many years and after retiring worked at CCRI. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society, the P.A.S.C. and participated for many years in the Penguin Plunge raising funds for Special Olympics. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid New England sports fan.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Melissa M. Chatelle and Kara A. Chatelle both of West Warwick; a step-daughter, Karen L. Mattera of Coventry; two brothers, Francis Chatelle and his wife Jeanne of Providence and Dennis Chatelle and his wife Patricia of West Warwick; six grandchildren, Justin Chatelle, Marcus Prezioso, Gianna Prezioso, Joseph Marcello, Britney Mattera and Amber Mattera and his canine friend Molly.

Mr. Snyzyk was a driver for Teamsters Union, Local 251 until his retirement in 1987. He served in The United States Army during WW II. He was a Member of the American Legion, Wm. Shields Post 43 and V.F.W. Post 183.
He was the beloved father of Stanley A. Snyzyk of Warwick, Joanna R. Deacon of Pinellas Park, FL and Edith A. Minton of Palm Harbour, FL. Loving grandfather of Holly Minton, Amanda Deacon and Meaghan Begonis. Cherished great grandfather of Kristen and Annabelle Begonis. Caring brother of Walter S. A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, he was founder and co-owner of Manufacturing Machine Corporation, Pawtucket, RI for the past 30 years. He was a former member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and a member of St. Anne Fraternity, Blue Water Anglers and Sakonnet Sportsman’s Club. He was a power boat cruising enthusiast, a collector of antique tractors and a member of New England Antique Tractor and Truck Association.
He leaves 2 children, Lori Dias and her husband Joseph of Swansea and Brad Berube and his wife Lori of Fall River; grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Berube and Jessica and Samantha Dias; sisters, Irene Souza and her husband Roland of Bradenton, FL and Lillian Dias (late husband Robert) of Canton, MA and nieces and nephews.

(Doucette), 93, a former longtime resident of North Road Terrace, 5105 Mulhearn Dr., Coventry, went to her resting place on Friday morning, May 2, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family, the caring staff of West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Gentiva Hospice and Donna from Coventry Home Care.
She was the wife of the late Norman S. Mitchell. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Donat and Alice (Beliveau) Doucette. She resided in the Pawtuxet Valley area for most of her life.
Doris worked at Lynwood Lace Mill, as a dental receptionist and homemaker. Her many interests were collecting magnets from all over the world, shopping for knick knacks, loved reading, decorating her apartment for every season, going out to eat and loved to visit with her many grandchildren, family and friend. She was a member of the North Road Association were she played bingo and helped with donations for the yard sales to raise money for the association dinners were all her friends attended.
She is survived by three loving daughters, Jane Kakela and her husband John of Coventry, Nanci Iannotti and her husband Gerald “Chip” of Coventry and Gail Ciummo and her husband Louis of West Warwick; three sisters, Alice Plante of Coventry, Irene Schmitt of Cranston and Gertrude Verschuuren of Atkins, NH; six grandchildren Kenneth Kakela, Rodney Iannotti, Cindy McDermott, Judy Maynard, Dawn Iannotti, Louis Ciummo and six little great grandchildren who would light up her life when they came to visit, Alexandra, Danny, Brandon, Corinne, Ryan, Emma and the late Alexis Rose. Doris also leaves several nieces. She was the mother of the late Donald and Eddy Mitchell and sister of the late Donat Doucette, Jr.

Megan had many loves in her life; music, counseling, friends, animals and of course her family. When you saw Megan downtown, there she would be with her earphones on listening to her beloved music. She would be wearing at least one thing in her favorite color orange and her jewelry. Miss Megan’s jewelry consisted of rings, bracelets and necklaces, which she loved to wear. Another thing you would notice is how closely she would listen to her friends, giving counseling to help them through their problems. Megan had been considering going to school to become a counselor. She was an employee at the Spot Café in Groton. Megan was a hard worker and well liked by her co-workers. As much as Megan was busy with school, work and friends, she still found time to be with her family.
Throughout the years, the one constant in Megan’s life was the love of animals. Wherever she went, if she saw a dog, cat or any animal, she was drawn to them as they were drawn to her. In Megan’s memory, please consider donating to a local animal shelter.

Barbara J (Rabb) Curry - Charlestown, RI
(05/04/14) Barbara J. (Rabb) Curry, 75, of Post Road, Charlestown, passed away on Friday morning, May 2, 2014 at the Westerly Hospital. She was the best friend and partner of Thomas E. Koscielecki of Charlestown and wonderful mother to her son, Keith D. Lindelow of Cranston and her daughter, Jessica A. Sommar of Pawcatuck. She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Curry was born in Kalamazoo, MI on June 6, 1938, the daughter of the late Alexander and Florence (VanDonelan) Rabb. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years and retired as a dealer from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard. She loved playing Bingo, the beach, needlepoint and her grandchildren Gabriella and Andrew Lindelow.

(05/04/14) CUNNIFF, ELDA A.(Maddalena) 89 of Cranston, passed away May 2, 2014 at Home. She was the beloved wife of the late William T. Cunniff. Born in Providence a daughter of the late Michael and Rosa (Gallo) Maddalena. Mrs Cunniff was an assembly worker for Sealol and also for Kenney Manufacturing Co. She is survived by her beloved daughter Janice E. Giorgianni and her husband John of Portsmouth, R.I.,loving grandchildren Karen Jeong, Brian Giorgianni and Denise Soares and her 7 beloved great grandchildren. Helen (Carter) Butler - Burrillville, RI
(05/04/14) Helen Butler, age 92, beloved wife of David Butler, died on Saturday, May 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She had been married to David for 65 years prior to his death on April 4, 2014. She was born on February 22, 1922 in Pawtucket, RI and was the fifth of eight children born to Mary and Abraham Carter.
Helen was a woman ahead of her time, playing on a woman’s softball team in the 1940’s. Once married, Helen managed the home, house, and children while working full time as a seamstress and then a waitress. Family was the main focus of her life - always. She took great pride in her Mid-Eastern heritage and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, pickling, family gatherings, and seaside trips. Always an achiever, she learned to swim at age 68. In 1972, she was overjoyed as the next generation made its entrance into the Butler family. She is survived by her six children: Sharon Harrington of Pascoag, Audrey Monti of Ellington, CT, Donna Birt of Pawtucket, David Butler of Tampa, FL, Richard Butler of Stafford Springs, CT and James Butler of Marblehead, MA. Grandchildren Kristin, Russell, Heather, Karen, Lisa, Jennifer, Adam, Kevin, John, Haley, Morgan and Kendall have been a constant source of great pride and activity. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she has eight great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her two granddaughters, Kristin and Lisa.
Helen is also survived by her three sisters: Alice Bessette of Land O Lakes, FL, Florence McDonald of Cumberland, RI and Emily Lagerquist of Seekonk, MA as well as many dear nieces and nephews. Her siblings Charles and Fred Carter, Mae Najjar and Rhoda Zora predeceased her.
The family offers their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag, RI, who cared for Helen with dignity and respect.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 7th at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 11 a.m. in the Historic Swan Point Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Interment will follow. VISITATION will be Tuesday, May 6th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
