Reed, Esq. and Emma (Coffey) Reed. She was a sweet beloved and funny sister, aunt, friend and babysitter. It breaks our hearts to say goodbye. Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true…. She is survived by five siblings, Nancy Reed of North Kingstown, Roberta Ducker of East Greenwich, J. George Reed of East Greenwich, Thomas Reed of East Greenwich and Richard P. (04/11/14) Johnston – Alfred H. Hauser, Jr., 87, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris Mae (Crompton) Hauser. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alfred H., Sr. and M. Edith (Blezard) Hauser. Alfred was a disabled veteran, having served in the United States Navy, Seabees Battalion during World War II. He was the proprietor of Elegant Lady Beauty Salon, Providence for over 20 years and enjoyed gardening; tending to his roses and traveling. Alfred leaves a sister, Barbara A. Goodman of Seekonk; a nephew, Neil E. Goodman of Rehoboth; a step-daughter, Joyce Kapinos and step-granddaughter, Bethany (Kapinos) Amato both of Pembroke Pines, FL and his loving companion Florence Gallucci of Johnston. (04/12/14) Beverly L.Forcier, 90, formerly of Warwick Avenue died Saturday at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Henry E. and Bessie L. (Hodges), she had been a longtime Warwick resident and previously resided in Edgewood. Miss Forcier was a travel consultant at various agencies for over 40 years before retiring in 1988. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Xavier Academy and a member of the alumnae association. She also was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi professional sorority. She leaves one brother, Wesley Forcier of Hull, MA and is survived by many nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Hollis, Bruce and Loring Forcier. (04/12/14) Raymond P. Foley, Sr. 93, of Howland Avenue died Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Agnes M. (Olson) Foley and was predeceased by his wife, Rachel (Rattey) Foley. Born in Cranston, a son of the late Edward J. and Margaret (Kelly) Foley, Sr., he had been a Warwick resident since 1955. Mr. Foley was a control room operator at Narragansett Electric Company for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He was a WWII Navy veteran and a past commander of the D.A.V. Post 1. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Raymond P. Foley, Jr. of Warwick and Brian F. Foley of Mansfield, MA; two daughters, Susan D. Verville of Foster and Marie T. Ahlert of Warwick; a sister, Sr. Kathleen Foley, SND of Springfield, MA; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. 0He was the brother of the late Thomas J., Edward J., and F. She was employed by the former Shelburne Shirt Co. and was a Teacher Assistant at St. Vincent’s Home for 24 years. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband of 63 years, she leaves four daughters, Annette Felix (Michael) of Tewksbury, MA, Jeanne Emard (Gary) of Swansea. Denise Cyr (Michael F.) of Westport and Claudette Lapointe (Thomas Luiz) of Freetown; grandchildren, Nicholas Emard (Amanda), Stephanie MacNeil (Steve), Benjamin Emard Alexandra), Christopher Felix and Meghann Cyr; great-grandchildren, Anderson, Cohen and Blake Emard; siblings, Aline Sirois and Fernand Clairmont, both of Fall River and Gilbert Clairmont of Nokomis, FL and nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Bejma and the late Albert W. Johnson. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul W. and Mary I. (Davis) Pelen, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life. Mrs. Bejma was the International Traffic Manager for Teknor-Apex, Pawtucket for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket where she was a former member and Past President of its Women’s Guild. She was a member and Past Matron of Seekonk Chapter #209, Order of the Eastern Star, Seekonk, MA; an honorary member and Past President of the Pawtucket Women’s Club; and a Past President of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Rhode Island. She is survived by one daughter, Jayne L. Bellows and her husband, Bradford of Cumberland; one son, Robert A. Johnson of Pawtucket; one stepdaughter, Bethany L. Force and her husband, Mark of Seekonk, MA; one brother, Paul T. Pelen and his wife, Susan of Milford, DE; seven grandchildren; three great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William L. Pelen. He served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was employed by Western Union, the Social Security Administration and at the Newport Naval Base and was a Fall River Public Schools Crossing Guard at Rodman and Warren streets. He treasured his family and faith and enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing the lottery and trips to the casinos. Besides his loving wife of fifty years, he leaves four children, Daniel J. Faria and his wife Lisa of Fall River, Michael A. Faria of Fairhaven, James D. Faria and his wife Gina of Somerset and Christine Costa and her husband Robert of Tiverton; grandchildren, Matthew J., Ryan A., Kate E. and Jacob D. Faria and Samuel R., Adam C. and Thomas A. Whipple of Pawcatuck, three step-children, April Pires of Cumberland, Robert Whipple of Lebanon and Joy Mosier of Gales Ferry, eight grandchildren, Aaron, Tristen, Brody, Armando, Olivia, Marissa, Ryan and Emma, her brother, Kevin Debigare, husband of Robin, of Richmond, and her sisters, Joanne Johnson, wife of Paul, and Debora Debigare all of Westerly and her nephews, Andrew, Joseph, Steven, Jefferey, Kenny and Troy. Mrs. Whipple was born in Westerly on June 12, 1956, the daughter of Joseph and Claire (Brodeur) Debigare of Westerly. For many years, she was a supervisor at Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard and formerly worked at the George C. Moore Company of Westerly. Laurie worked all of her life serving the public which she loved. Laurie loved life and kept tabs on her friends even when she could no longer get out to be with them. She was always around to lend a hand or a shoulder and touched the lives of many. (Pare) Rocheleau; they had been married for 53 years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Arthur Z. and Blanche (Jarbeau) Rocheleau. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick. Mr. Rocheleau was a bank officer for many years before retiring. He was a communicant of SS. John & Paul Church, a former choir member of Christ the King Church, a 1988 graduate of Providence College and enjoyed music. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Susan Harrison, a son, Christopher M. Rocheleau, a sister, Jeanne Sherman and her husband Arthur; a brother, Donald Rocheleau and his wife Edith and two grandchildren, Emily and Joshua Harrison. He was the father of the late Elizabeth J. (04/17/14) Brown, Thelma D. (Teddy), 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry with her family and her dear friend Phyllis by her side. She was the wife of the late Alexander C. Brown for over 62 years. She was the daughter of the late Nannia (Cooper) and William Blevins. Thelma was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan who enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She was a bookkeeper at Brindamour’s Oil and BIF in West Warwick for many years before retiring in 1983. She was the beloved mother of Deborah M. Dawkins (John Perry) of Westerly, RI and Robert A. Brown of Pawtucket, RI. She was the proud grandmother of Jason (Jessica) Hodge, Joshua (Heather) Dawkins and Matthew (Jamie) Dawkins and five great-grandchildren, Alexis Maher, Kaylie Hodge, Jasmine Hodge, Mattie Rose Dawkins and Easton Alexander Dawkins. She is also survived by one sister, Nonie Grace Semon of Louisiana. Thelma was predeceased by three sisters, Mattie Richardson, Marie Aubrey and Wendy Blevins and one brother Raymond Blevins. (04/18/14) Helen Marie Cronin, 93 of Lexington Park, MD, formerly of Cranston, died April 15, 2014 at The Hermitage St. John’s Creek in Solomons, MD. Born July 1, 1920 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. Doherty and Catherine Keough Doherty. In 1942, Helen graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital, School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She worked until her retirement in July 1979 as a registered nurse at Jane Brown Memorial Hospital in Providence, RI and St. Joseph’s Hospital. On May 18, 1946, she married her late husband, Thomas Henry Cronin, at St. Matthew Church in Cranston, RI. Together they spent 53 wonderful years of marriage together, until his passing in 1999. Her hobbies included knitting, crafting, baking and shopping. She was dedicated to helping others, and donated many hours to her church and helping her neighbors and friends. She also travelled extensively, including many weekend road trips to New Hampshire, a cruise to Aruba and touring Ireland. She was a member of St. Matthew Leisure Club, St. Matthew Catholic Church and St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Helen is survived by her daughter, Kathleen E. Blanchette (Paul) of Lexington Park, MD; her sisters, Florence L. Murray of Cumberland, RI and Rita M. Quinn of Cranston, RI; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas P. Doherty, Jr. and Catherine R. Weston. (04/19/14) McDONAGH, Catherine P. (Corcoran), 80, died peacefully on April 18, 2014 after a long illness. She was a devoted wife, mother to 10 and grandmother of 15 children. Born in NY City, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Boles) Corcoran. Cathy was a long-time resident of N. Attleboro, MA and Cumberland, RI. She attended Fordham University and was an accomplished singer and quilter. Cathy loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She nurtured the love of singing and music in her family. Cathy and her husband shared a great love of travel, visiting numerous places around the world including many visits to family in Ireland. She and her husband also generously shared their love of travel with their entire family. Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Edward P. McDonagh and predeceased by her daughter Patricia C. McDonagh. She is survived by 9 children: Dolores McDonagh and husband Jamie Karn of Silver Spring, MD, Virginia McDonagh and husband Jay Marciano of Silver Spring, MD, Fidelia Flynn and husband Robert of Littleton, CO, Barbara McDonagh of Warwick, RI, Thomas McDonagh and wife Kathleen of Acton, MA, Cathy McDonagh of Holden, MA, Richard McDonagh and wife Kathleen of N. Attleboro, MA, Joan McDonagh and husband Robert of Medway, MA, Susan Amaya and husband Jose of Chandler, AZ, and 15 grandchildren. She leaves her brothers, James Corcoran of Hillside, NJ and William Corcoran of Ridgewood, NJ and 14 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Sheridan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00 am in Mount St. Rita Chapel, 15 Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland, RI. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Attleboro Falls, MA. Calling hours will be at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, 15 Sumner Brown Road, Cumberland, RI on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4-8pm. (04/20/14) Marie Lorraine (Chouinard) Guinen, 85, of Fall River, widow of John Guinen and a former employee of Hasbro Toy Co., died Saturday, April 19, 2014. She was the mother of Julia Kosinski (husband Jan) of Tiverton, Kathleen Sbardella (husband Jeffrey) of Norton, Susan Miozza (husband Michael) of Fall River, Lorraine Gagne of Fall River, Patrick Guinen (wife Janna) of Duxbury and the late Timothy Guinen (wife Pamela of Fall River); the grandmother of Jamie Argo, Nicholas Sbardella, Katie Faria, Angela Lehn, Eric Miozza, Sara and David Gagne and Timothy, Angus, Maya and Molly Guinen; the sister of Alice Ferreira and Joseph “Harvey” Chouinard, both of Fall River, Roger Chouinard of Somerset and the late Jeannette Meade and Ronald Paul Chouinard; the daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Adrienne (Michaud) Chouinard and also leaves 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her funeral service be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. (04/21/14) Charlotte M. (Jackson) Caplette, 93, of Warwick passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Kent Regency. She was the wife of the late Norman Caplette. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Sydney and Ruth (Mann) Jackson. Mrs. Caplette was an accomplished artist and musician and enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Warwick. She was the beloved mother of Cathleen R. Torres of Warwick, Judith S. McSoley of Warwick, Marie L. Kaminski of Holden, MA and Susanne Frament of Cranston. Loving grandmother of fourteen, great grandmother of twenty-two and great great grandmother of two. She was the sister of the late Herbert, Kenneth and Harold Jackson, Beatrice Kelly and Gloria Finn. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday from 5-8 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
