(01/25/13) Lincoln – Mildred E. (Bush) Godfrey, 96, of Front Street died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Mount St. Rita’s Health Centre, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Melvin J. Godfrey. Born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late George S. and Rosina (Norris) Bush, she had lived in Lincoln for the past 40 years. Mrs. Godfrey was an executive secretary in the insurance industry before retiring. A long-time member of Four Corners Community Chapel in Cumberland, she was the co-founder of its women’s group, a former trustee, and member of the choir for many years. She was a member and former President of the Pawtucket Women’s Club and a member of St. John Vianney Seniors. She is survived by her son, John A. Godfrey of Attleboro, MA; her nephew, George S. Bush and his wife, Carol of East Providence; her cousins, Everett Knell and his wife, Joanne, Barbara Meader and her husband, Charles and Ruth Lauranzano; and her extended family, Jane Erskine, Diane and Sophie Kisseberth, Susan Czekalski, William and Madeline Caldwell, Carolyn and David Williamson, Carolyn Murphy, Jean Davis, Arthur DiFillipo, Maria Ervin and Pastor Jeff Craw. She was the sister of the late George E. Bush. Her Memorial Service will be held THURSDAY, JANUARY 31 at 7:30 P.M. in Four Corners Community Chapel, 200 Angell Road, Cumberland. (01/25/13) Pawtucket - Adrienne F. (Genereux) McNaughton, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Donald David McNaughton, the couple would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in April. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary A. (McCarthy) Genereux. Adrienne was a bus aide for the City of Pawtucket for over fifteen years before retiring in 1998 to take care of her grandchildren. She was a lifetime parishioner of St. Teresa Church, Pawtucket. Besides her husband, she leaves four children and their spouses, Kerri McNaughton and Michael Fountaine, David and Christine McNaughton, Shannon and Anthony Pires, Stacy and John Connors and ten grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts. (01/25/13) Lincoln – Constance A. (Mathieu) Mocogni, 70, of Lake Wales, FL and formerly of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2013 in Lake Wales, FL. She was the wife of the late Brian Mocogni for over 40 years and the wife of the late Thomas Colbert. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Loretta (Chaput) Mathieu, she had lived in Lincoln for many years before moving to Florida. Connie worked in the Lincoln Town Hall for over 30 years retiring in 2010. She leaves behind three daughters, Linda Dufresne of Lake Wales, FL, and Diane Good and Sandra Giglio, both of Lincoln; one son, Brian Mocogni, Jr. of Cranston; two stepchildren, Dawn Antunes of Taunton, MA and Thomas Colbert, Jr. of Norton, MA; four brothers, Robert and Alphonse Mathieu, both of Narragansett, Raymond Mathieu of Newark, VT and Richard Mathieu of Loudon, TN; three sisters, Rita Quetta of North Providence, Helen Prete of Lincoln and Ann Marie Martins of Attleboro, MA; and nine grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Kaitlin, Stefani, Russell, Lindsey, Jimmy, Spencer and Nancy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Born in Warwick, she was a caring daughter of Alberta Fague and David Adams of Coventry. Tammy was a Certified Nursing Assistant for West Bay Residential Services. She was an outgoing and generous person who was devoted to her grandchildren and enjoyed watching movies. She was the loving mother of Joseph B. Fague, Douglas W. Lecuivre and Jacob A. Lecuivre, all of West Warwick. Caring step mother of Tiffany A. Wright and Robert J. Wright, II, both of West Warwick. (01/26/13) James A. Lepikko, 73, of Ashaway Rd., Westerly, passed away on January 24, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane (Boucher) Lepikko. Born in Westerly on November 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Eino and Olga Lepikko. In addition to his wife, he will be greatly missed by his daughter, Tammy (Lepikko) Anderson, and son-in-law Charles Anderson of Richmond; and his son James Lepikko, Jr. of Westerly, and his loving partner Mary Perez Comstock. He was the loving grandfather of Chelsea Anderson, Bradley Anderson, James R. Lepikko and Samuel Lepikko. He was employed in the insurance business for many years, working for Thorp & Trainer of Westerly, Woodmansee Insurance of Richmond, and as manager of the Calhoun Insurance Agency in Florida. He was also a Certified Financial Planner. Jim was an active member of the Westerly YMCA since he was eight years old and served on its Board of Directors for a period of time. He graduated from Westerly High School in 1957 and the University of Rhode Island in 1961. He was an Elks Club member, an avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots and a NASCAR follower. If you were within his close circle of friends, you were likely to participate in one of his frequent friendly wagers. For 47 years, he and the same group of friends regularly got together to play cards. Jim was an expert conversationalist and if you were lucky enough to meet him, you could be sure that he would quickly have you engaged in conversation, more than likely about yourself. Jim loved traveling the country with Diane, his wife and best friend, in their motor home. Their travels included two cross-country trips throughout the U.S. and Canada. Even in his declining health, Jim never complained and always tried to be positive. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed and always remembered with much love. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly. Burial will be private. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1957, she was a cake decorator with the former Terminal Bakery, Fall River and a bookkeeper for P. D. Humphrey Lumber, Tiverton. A Eucharistic Minister, she was choir director, parish council member and women’s guild member of the former St. Mathieu Parish, Fall River. Besides her companion, she leaves siblings, Diane M. Figuerado of Fall River and William P. Mathieu, Jr. and his wife Linda of Somerset; a sister-in-law, Joane Mathieu of Fall River, an aunt, Yvette Murphy of Fall River; nephews, Donald, David and Douglas Michaels, Peter and Nathan Mathieu, nieces, Kerrie and Jennifer Mathieu and Andrea Castonguay; great nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was the sister of the late Fall River Firefighter, Dennis E. Mathieu and the daughter of the late William and Eva (Ouellette) Mathieu. Born in East Greenwich, he was a son of the late John E. Bailey, Sr. and Lulu M. (Wesson) Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service, Apponaug Station, from 1957 until his retirement in 1992. He served as a Staff Sergeant in The United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church and a member of the Apponaug Old Timers. He was the beloved father of Lynne A. Taylor of Warwick and Carol A. Branch of West Warwick. Caring brother of Patricia A. Pontarelli of Warwick. Loving grandfather of four. Together they made their home in Hollywood, Florida for over 30 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Israel and Marie (Pommenville) Laliberte. Normand was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater. He worked in the horse racing industry in New England, New York and Florida, getting his start at the old Narragansett Race Track in Pawtucket. Norman was also an avid golfer. He leaves numerous nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. He was the brother of the late Israel (Pete), Louis, Walter, Raymond and Francis Laliberte, Alida Dube Pruneau, Yvonne Bessette, Blanche Duquette, Fedora Mercier, Beatrice Cardosi, Gertrude Sheehan and Florence Judd. (01/28/13) Coventry - David G. Maine, Jr., 64, of Cantaberry Lane died at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Patricia J. (Silva) Maine. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late David G. and Alice T. (Cardosi) Maine, Sr., he moved to Coventry in 1977. He served during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force. Employed for 34 years by the United States Postal Service David was a letter carrier in Pawtucket. He was an avid golfer and a member of the West Warwick Country Club where he also worked as a groundskeeper. He loved being outdoors, especially working in his yard. He graduated from New England Institute of Technology where he studied cabinetmaking. A very talented woodworker he recently made each of his daughters a wooden toy box. David was very devoted to his family. He is being remembered by his family for his unconditional love and for his being “a good friend”. Besides his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Laura J. Maine and her fiancé Ronald Lavoie of Coventry and Pamela J. Standish and her husband Donald Jr. of Coventry; one sister: Deborah Mangina of Pawtucket; one brother: Mitchell Maine of Cranston; his granddaughter Allie Maine Standish and his nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael Maine. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Orilda (Mayer) Choiniere, she resided in Central Falls before returning to Pawtucket many years ago. Cora was employed by Ann & Hope, Cumberland for twenty years until retiring. She leaves five children, Roger Duquette, Rachel Santuri and Susan Cooney all of Florida, Russell Duquette of Bristol and Rene Duquette of Cape Cod; a sister, Dolores Dupuis of Pawtucket; a brother, Robert Choiniere of CT; five grandchildren, Denise, Debbie, Emily, Alyssa and Brandon and five great-grandchildren. (01/28/13) West Warwick - Barbara J. Swan-Gallucci, 61, of West Street, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at home. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Fred P. Stacy Jr. and the late Shirley T. (Jones) Stacy-Dawley, she grew up in Cranston, graduated from Pilgrim High School, Warwick in 1969 and had lived in West Warwick for the past fourteen years. She attended New Hampshire College and the Community College of RI where she studied business administration. She was an office manager, employed by Electronic Data Systems until 2000. Barbara was a member of the Board of Directors of the Multiple Sclerosis Society for which she volunteered countless hours including representing the MS Society at Hillary Clinton`s Health Care Reform Conference in Washington, D.C. She worked for the New Hampshire Governor’s Commission on Disability for many years and attended many legislative hearings helping to pass laws for the disabled. While growing up Barbara and her family belonged to the Church of the Master Baptist in Providence. She and her second husband, the late Michael L. Gallucci, joined St. Joseph`s Church in West Warwick where they were married in May 2000. Throughout her school years one of Barbara`s biggest interests was singing. She sang with several choirs including the Notre Dame School Community Choir in Manchester, NH. Her favorite hobbies were art, reading, crocheting and cooking. She was a lifelong Yankees fan. She is survived by two daughters: Kimberly M. Montanaro and her husband Tom of Richlands, NC and Melissa D. Swan of Duncan, OK; two sons: Steven K. Swan, Jr. and his wife Alla of Plymouth, MA and Michael G. Swan and his wife Katie of Lexington Park, MD; one sister: Cheryl D. Lilley and her husband Gerald of Pampa, TX; one brother: Richard L. Stacy and his wife Theresa of North Grosvenordale, CT and six grandchildren: Riley G. and Callen J. Swan, Katelyn M., Taylor A., Ashley M. and Megan A. Montanaro. He leaves five children, Laurie Almeida and her husband Jerry Workman of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas Almeida, Jr. and Debra Gosselin and her husband Thomas, all of Fall River, Richard Almeida of Somerset and Kristina Ponte and her husband Robert of New Bedford; his former wife Mary (Rego) Almeida of Fall River; grandchildren, Jared, Alexis and Drake Almeida and his dear friend Charlie Borge. Cipriano Jr. and his wife Patricia of Warwick. and numerous other cousins. His funeral and burial will be private.

(01/29/13) David S. Winters, 64, of West Kingston, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at the V.A. Regional Medical Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Lois A. (Capwell) Winters. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Stanley G. and Edith E. (Magnuson) Winters. Mr. Winters was an Electronics Technician for the Unites States Postal Service and served in The Unites States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the beloved brother of Cheryl A. Winters of West Kingston. Loving uncle of Dana Z. Miller and Heather A. Dobbins. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2012 at 12:30 pm in The Chapel of The New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, New Hampshire. (01/27/13) Cournoyer, Carol M. (Perry), 76, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ross A. Cournoyer. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Octave and Adeline (Reuter) Perry. Mrs. Cournoyer specialized in the hospitality industry and was a licensed real estate broker. She loved the ocean and was very active with church, her friends and family, and enjoyed gardening. She will be missed as a charitable and kind person, a loving mother, and devoted grandmother. She is survived by three children: Cheryl C. Gallagher of Austin, TX, Diane M. Johnson of Medfield, MA and Brian R. Cournoyer of Saunderstown, RI; four grandchildren: Sarah E. Johnson, Matthew S. Johnson, Nicholas A. Gallagher and Grace E. Gallagher. Funeral from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Saturday, February 2 at 9:45 AM followed with a funeral service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 455 Elmwood Avenue, Providence. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Rumford, RI. Calling hours will be Friday from 1-3 PM, 5-7 PM. Should friends desire, donations may be made to the American Heart Assc., and the RI Food Bank.
