Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Theodore E. and Isabel M. (O’Donnell) Lonergan, she was a homemaker and lifelong resident of the city.

Jo-Anne C. Vittorioso and her husband John of Cranston; 2 sons, James E. Carroll and his wife Wanda of Warwick and Robert V. She was the sister of Mary O’Donnell of New Jersey and the late George Lonergan.

(01/22/13) Portsmouth – Brenda M. (McKillop) Boyd, 69, of Franklin Terrace died Monday, January 22, 2013 at Newport Hospital, Newport. She was the beloved wife of William D. Boyd.
Born in Mansfield, MA, a daughter of the late Donald and Margaret (Jones) McKillop, she had lived in Plainville, MA for 22 years and Heath, OH for 13 years before moving to Portsmouth 3 years ago.
Mrs. Boyd worked for the Department of Unemployment in Attleboro, MA before becoming an office manager in an optometrist’s office for several years before retiring.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Sherry Thibeault and her husband, Dean of Mendon, MA and Scott D. Boyd and his wife, Tracy of Portsmouth; one sister, Donna Dunn of Wrentham, MA; one brother, Donald McKillop, Jr. of Blue Hill, ME; two grandsons, Reis and Bailey Thibeault; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held SATURDAY, JANUARY 26 at 10 A.M. at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

(01/22/13) ZOGLIO, ARMANDO R., 89, of Cranston passed away Monday January 21, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. He was the loving husband of the late Bella (Petit) Zoglio. Born in Cranston a son of the late Antonio and Silvia (Mignone) Zoglio.
Mr. Zoglio was a Custodian at the Rhode Island State House. Upon his retirement in 1989 he received a Citation from Governor Edward DiPrete for 14 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Zoglio is survived by one sister; Bianca M. Uva who\'s late husband was Americo Uva, and many nieces and nephews. He was a great loving man who loved to bowl, especially with his nephews.
He is also survived by the daughter of his late wife, Maureen DelSanto, and her children John, Michael, Jason and Rhonda.
He was the brother of the late Joseph Zoglio and late wife Margaret, Robert Zoglio and late wife Yvonne, Romolo Zoglio and late wife Tina, Alfred Snow and late wife Bernice, Carmela Greene and late Husband Henry, Rose Nerney and late husband Edward, Orlando Zoglio and late wife Viola, and Mario Zoglio.

Robert Earl Wilkinson, Jr. - Jamestown, RI
(01/22/13) Jamestown - Robert Earl Wilkinson, Jr., of Jamestown and Sarasota, Florida, departed this life on Friday, January 18, at his Rhode Island home. He was the loving husband of Audrey Joslin Wilkinson for 58 years.
Born in Providence in 1931, Bob was the son of Robert E. Wilkinson, Sr. and Amey Paton Wilkinson. Active as a consulting engineer for 44 years, he was co-founder with his father of Wilkinson Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, of Warwick, and held memberships in ASHRAE and the Providence Engineering Society. A graduate of Hope High School, Bob attended Northeastern University earning an associates degree in mechanical engineering. He was a 1957 graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Civil Engineering.
An avid outdoorsman and craftsman, Bob enjoyed fly fishing, sailing, hunting, gardening, wood carving, wood and metal working, tennis and golf. Sailing out of Edgewood Yacht Club, he was the 1945 Narragansett Bay champion in the Beetle Class. Bob held memberships at Potowomut Country Club, East Greenwich Yacht Club, Palm Aire Country Club and the Sarasota Sailing Squadron. A communicant of St. Matthew Church in Jamestown, he also attended the Church of the Nativity in Sarasota, Florida. Bob was a world traveler and adventurer and enjoyed social time with family and friends.
Besides his wife, Bob leaves his children, Robert Steven Wilkinson and his wife, Laura, of Warwick, and Amey Wilkinson Larrat, and her husband, Paul, of East Greenwich; his brother, Donald Paton Wilkinson of East Greenwich; and his grandchildren, Meghan and Eric Larrat and Abigail and Elizabeth Wilkinson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 87 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown.

(01/23/13) Helen Frances (McLaughlin) Knudsen, wife of Leon C. Knudsen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
Born in Providence on February 12, 1939, she was the daughter of Henry J. and Helen T. (McWilliams) McLaughlin. Helen resided in Providence until she married and became a full-time resident of Charlestown in 1958. In 1993 she moved to Coventry where she resided until her death. Helen worked in law enforcement for 23 years as secretary/dispatcher to the Chief of Police in Charlestown, RI and as the Prosecutors Secretary for South Kingstown Police Department. She was active within the Masonic and Shrine community with her husband Leon for many years.
Besides her husband, Helen is survived by her brother Henry J. McLaughlin III and his wife Linda of Saginaw, TX. Helen was the proud mother of four children, Suzan Morris (Wayne), Kathleen McLaughlin, John Rondina (Michael), and Keith Knudsen (Laura). She was grandmother “Sean Mere” to five grandchildren, Patricia Cirelli, Casey Morris, Ashley Knudsen, Brittney Wilson and Chelsea Wilson and great grandmother to Landon, Paige and Maddalena Cirelli. Helen also enjoyed her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marion (Gasior) Grace - Fall River, MA

Marion (Gasior) Grace, 66, of Fall River passed away January 21, 2013 at home surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of Frank Grace III and daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Kaczynska) Gasior who called her “Mania”, a name many still use for her with much affection.
She was a graduate of Mt. St. Mary Academy and Saint Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing. She later married her neighbor and high school sweetheart, living for a time in Charleston, SC and San Diego, CA during Frank’s service in the US Navy. They then returned to Fall River and raised their family.
Thousands of area residents benefited from her care as a Registered Nurse during her career at Saint Anne’s Hospital which spanned over 40 years.
Marion enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her backyard swing, several dogs and cats over the years, gardening, traveling, shopping, music, dancing, Christmas, and 4th of July. Her pierogis were the best. She sure did love to sing.
In addition to her husband of 44 years, she is survived by three much-loved children of whom she was proud: Linette Neas (husband Sean) of Berkley, Frank C. Grace (wife Bonnie) of Acushnet, and Walter J. Grace (wife Maritza) of Fall River.
A special joy to Marion was being “Babci” to three very bright lights in her life: her wonderful grandsons Nathan A. Grace and Nicholas D. Grace of Acushnet, and Matthew A. Grace of Fall River.
She will be greatly missed by aunts, cousins, sisters-in-law, and friends. Marion was predeceased by her brother, Walter Gasior of Attleboro.
Marion died after a long, strong, and brave fight with leukemia. The family appreciates the care she received from Dr. Robert J. Soiffer, Dr. Francisco Marty, Dr. Richard M. Stone, and staff at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Overlook VNA and Hospice.

Mary worked at the Firestone Rubber Co. during WWII making helmets and assembling gas masks and retired from Whittenton Mfg. Co., in 1984.

(01/23/13) Providence – Cora R. (Hadfield) Turner, 91, of Dean Street died peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2013. She was the widow of Leonard A. “Lennie” Turner who she met as a young girl working together in a jewelry factory.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Baker) Hadfield, she lived in West Warwick for 37 years, moved to North Kingstown in 1993 before recently moving to Providence. She was a receptionist, employed by Marshall Williams Company, Providence until her retirement in 1979.
Cora, or “Bud” as most knew her, loved being with family, her most cherished times in her life. Her second loves were rooting for the Boston Red Sox and watching her favorite movie, “Pretty Woman”!
She was a member of the Church of the Master Baptist, Providence where she served on many boards, was a member of its P.Y.A.C. Group and enjoyed the “Homemakers’ Circle” in her younger years. She also served as church secretary. She formerly was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wickford.
She is survived by a daughter: Cheryl L. Curtis and her husband Glenn of North Kingstown; a son: Richard L. Turner and his wife Pam of Greene and her grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Barbara Luther and Albert Hadfield.

Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Oliver J. and Elizabeth (Hunter) Provost, she had lived in Cumberland for 75 years before moving to Lincoln in 1997.
Mrs. English was a 1940 graduate of Cumberland High School.
She worked as a payroll clerk in Albion for the Berkshire Fine Spinning Mill, the Lonsdale Company Mill in Berkeley, and Moore Fabrics in Pawtucket. She also worked in the offices of Ann & Hope.
Mrs. English was the owner and president of E. F. English and Sons in Smithfield until retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Seniors, St Aidan’s Seniors, and the Lincoln Manor Tenants Association.
She was the mother of Kenneth R. English and his wife, Deborah of Cumberland, and the late Stephen F. English. She is also survived by 3 grandsons, Michael, Robert and David English; two granddaughters, Marcie and Lisa English; two great grandsons; and several cousins.

Mrs. Seleyman was employed in the Insertion and Distribution Departments of the Providence Journal for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of God in Riverside.
She was the loving mother of Joyce M. Potter and her husband Stephen of Warwick, Wayne Seleyman and his wife Linda of North Providence, Doreen A. Seleyman of Massachusetts and the late Glenn Seleyman. Caring sister of Eva Olive Ziroli and Alice Irene DeQuattro, both of Providence, Maryanne Caraman and Arthur Caraman, both of North Providence, Gerard Caraman of Florida and was predeceased by six additional siblings. Cherished grandmother of five and great-grandmother of seven.
Her Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday 3-6 pm.

(01/25/13) Pawtucket – Mabel (Davis) Powers, 86, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Ambrose W. Powers. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis A. and Mary E. (Barsey) Davis, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life. Mabel was employed by the former Home Laundry and the former Kings Laundry, Pawtucket for many years until retiring. She enjoyed playing High-Low-Jack on Tuesdays with her friends. She leaves three sons, Thomas Powers of South Attleboro, John Powers of Pawtucket and Robert Powers and his wife, Beth of Connecticut, and a grandson, Adam Powers. Services will be private. Serafina (Borges) Rapoza - Swansea, MA
(01/25/13) Serafina (Borges) Rapoza, age 96 of Swansea passed away January 24, 2013. Born in Fall River, she was the widow of Joseph F. Rapoza and daughter of the late Alexander and Maria Conceicão Borges. She was a leather turner having worked at Gamma Leather Goods and various other mills prior to retiring to care for her mother. Sarah was a former member of the council on aging, volunteered for the meals on wheels program and at the town beach.
Sarah enjoyed going out to breakfast, telling jokes, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy but most of all spending time with her family.
Serafina is survived by her son Joseph F. Rapoza Jr. of Swansea, grandson Mark and his wife Jessica, four great grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Nicholas and Maxwell Rapoza of North Dighton. She was the sister of the late Alexander Borges Jr.
