Mrs. Chamberland was a Nurse at Eleanor Slater Hospital for 18 years.
She was the beloved mother of Patricia D. Quimby of Providence. Loving step-mother of Robert Quimby and his wife Tamie of West Warwick. Cherished step-grandmother of Kendra and Sierra Quimby of West Warwick. Caring sister of Joseph H. Blair, Jr. of Winthrop, ME, Florette Bright of San Marcos, CA, Yvonne Pepe of Waltham, MA and the late Margaret Tatten.

(07/24/12) West Warwick- Turner, Helen O. (Hanczaryk), 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 24. She was the wife of the late Thomas P. Turner. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Telka (Knapik) Hanczaryk.
Mrs. Turner worked at the Grinell Corporation as a registered nurse. She was a lifelong West Warwick resident, respected by many for her thought provoking letters to the editor and a graduate of the Newport Hospital School of Nursing. She had a sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling the world. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so proud to be a grandmother.
She is survived by four children: Thomas J. Turner of East Hampton, CT, Janet T. Oliveira of West Chester, PA, Kathy T.W. Eden of Sterling, CT and Jennifer T. Huff of Scituate, RI; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four siblings: Mary Bannon, Jenny Bowers, Mayola Grisnik and
Edwin Hanczaryk.

Anne M Burns - Smithfield, RI
(07/25/12) BURNS, Anne M., 91, formerly of Sheila Lane., Smithfield, a former teacher in the Thornton School in Johnston; the John Howland and Robert F. Kennedy Schools in Providence and a certified nursing assistant at Rhode Island Hospital passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Hagan) Burns. She lived in Providence and North Providence before moving to Smithfield in 1976.
Miss Burns received her bachelor’s degree from Providence College, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Rhode Island College and a Certificate of Qualified Nursing Assistant from the R.I. State Department of Education.
She was secretary of the Democratic delegation to the 1980 convention in New York and the subject of a BBC film while there. An article of hers on the convention appeared on the OpEd page of the New York Times and she has been mentioned in several editions of Who’s Who of American Women.
She was a member of the Providence Teacher’s Union; the American Federation of Teachers; Hamilton House; the Irish Cultural Association of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Irish Historical/ Genealogical Society of which she was a founding member and served in the offices of president, vice president and secretary over a period of many years. While president, she organized the 150th anniversary concert and mass in memory of the victims of the Great Irish Famine held in the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul in Providence in 1995. She was also an officer of the Rhode Island Irish Famine Memorial Committee which is responsible for erecting a memorial to the victims of the Great Irish Famine at Heritage Harbor in Providence.
She is survived by three nephews, Kenneth Iavarone and his wife Barbara and Lawrence Iavarone, NPFD (Ret.) and his wife Carolyn, both of North Providence and Stephen Iavarone of Cumberland; three grandnephews, Kenny, Michael and Timmy Iavarone and two grandnieces, Kimberly and Kristina Iavarone. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Iavarone, James and John Burns and great-aunt of the late Matthew Iavarone.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, July, 28, 2012, at 9 am from the JAMES J. GALLOGLY & SONS Funeral Home, 671 Broad St., Providence. Marvin was a retired forklift operator at Quaker Fabrics, a Viet Nam era U.S. Army Veteran serving with the 10th Special Forces Group Airborne Division, Ft. Devens with the rank of Specialist 4 and a member of the DAV Commander Club.

(07/27/12) Carmella “Minnie” M. (DeLuca) Capalbo, 95, of Highland Avenue, Westerly, passed away peacefully at her home on July 26, 2012.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Orlando D. Capalbo and her son Donald. She is survived by her daughters, Dale A. Primiano and her husband Charles of Avon, CT and Kathleen Gaudet and her husband Roy of Westerly, her son Richard Capalbo of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Syl DeLuca of Peacedale. Minnie was the last surviving member of the DeLuca Family. Her siblings who passed on were Mary Ferraro, Rose Calitri, Eleanor Cicerone, James DeLuca and Joseph DeLuca.
Minnie was born in Westerly on July 14, 1917, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Cofone) DeLuca. She took immense pleasure in oil and water color painting and enjoyed the culinary arts.

(07/27/12) Frank A. Laudone Jr., 82, of Bradford Road in Bradford, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Rose M. (Cimalore) Laudone of Bradford, his son, Frank A. Laudone III of Charlestown, his daughter, Linda A. Pacheco of Bradford, and three grandchildren, Brad, Stephanie and Christine.
Mr. Laudone was born in Westerly on July 26, 1930, the son of the late Frank A. and Mary (Pignataro) Laudone, Sr. Frank served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to be a machine operator for Imperial Wallpaper of Hopkinton. Frank was a member of the Bradford Citizen’s Club and a former Westerly Town Sargeant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 7 Church Street, Bradford. Burial with full military honors will take place at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. He was the son of the late Jules Augustus and Bertha Marie (Duquenoy) Caron, both formerly of Calais, France. He was the devoted and loving husband to Joann S. (Duhamel) Caron for 57 years. Jules was a true patriot, he proudly served his country by enlisting in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a hard worker; a thinker who could fix any problem and helped many people in countless ways. He loved his home; working in the yard; nature and animals and especially enjoyed following the NE Patriots. Jules was a member of RI Carpenters Union, Local 94, and the Greyhound Association. Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children, Robert J. Caron and his wife, Karen Gallagher of Pawtucket, Lynne A. (Caron) Somers of Pawtucket, Stephen P. Charles "Chick" H Willett - Lincoln, RI
(07/27/12) Lincoln – Charles H. “Chick” Willett, 97, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Epoch Senior Health Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Stella (Ben) Willett and the devoted father of the late Robert D. Willett.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Lazarus H. “Pete” and Christina B. (Kinniburgh) Willett, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 57 years. He attended Pawtucket schools and was a 1932 graduate of Pawtucket High School.
Mr. Willett was a truck driver for over 50 years, working for Colonial Freight Company, for Standard Transportation Company for 35 years and Coutu Trucking Company for 15 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #251 and Local #251 Retirees.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and was called back for the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post #14 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10213.
A Mason for 64 years, he was a Past Master of the former Barney Merry Lodge #29, F. & A.M., Pawtucket, now St. John’s Lodge #1, F. & A.M., Providence. He was a member and Past High Priest of Pawtucket Royal Arch Chapter #4, a member and Past Master of Pawtucket Council #2, RSM, and a member and past treasurer of Holy Sepulchre Commandery #8, KT. He was a member of the York Rite College. A Shriner for 54 years, he was a member of the Rhode Island Shrine, AAONMS, Cranston, a member of the Palestine Temple Guard and a past Captain of the Arab Patrol. He was a member of Gaspee Order #99, Swords of Bunker Hill. He was the treasurer of the “100 Club” for 33 years and was awarded a Meritorious Service Award from the Scottish Rite in 2000 when he as made a life member.
He is survived by one brother, Thomas Willett of Johnston; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Ralph W. Willett, John K. Willett and Robert D. Willett.
His funeral service will be held TUESDAY, JULY 31 at 11 A.M. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

Born in Franklin, NH, the son of the late Edwin S. and Roberta (Spencer) Morton. Raised in Massachusetts, he lived in several states, moving to Warwick in 1974. Mr. Morton was the Quality Control Director of Health-Tex Inc. until his retirement. A graduate of the New Bedford Textile Institute, now the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, he was employed in the textile industry for many years.
Besides his wife, he leaves his loving children: Donald S. Morton of Barrington, Christine E. Morton of Warwick and Robert J. Morton of Rehoboth, MA. Cherished grandfather of Bailey, Samantha, Joshua, and Benjamin, and his devoted pet \"Lil Fella\". He was the brother of Judith Black of NY.

She was employed by Texas Instruments, Inc., Attleboro for many years until retiring in 1983. Lucille was active in many church and civic organizations. Dietzel, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons. She was predeceased by her three brothers; William, Raymond, and Joseph Jenkins.

He was the loving husband of the late Victoria H. “Vicky” (Pimental) Boisclair. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Ernest and Viola (Pelletier) Boisclair.
Chief Boisclair was a member of the West Warwick Fire Department for 33 years and served as Chief of the department for four years before retiring in 1983. He was a WW II Air Force Veteran where he worked at the Pentagon, a communicant of St. Anthony Church, a member of the RI Fire Chief’s Association, Club Frontenac, West Warwick Lions Club and the West Warwick Country Club.
He is survived by two sons, Michael E. Boisclair and his wife Josephine of Glenville, NY and Battalion Chief Paul J. Boisclair, WWFD and his wife Rita of West Warwick and five grandchildren, Ilissa Goman, Caroline, Benjamin, Laura and Brian Boisclair.

Mary was a retail manager at Robert’s Tuxedo Company for 23 years. She loved spending time with her grandson, visiting Second Beach in Newport and socializing with her many friends. Mary was an avid coupon cutter, getting the best deals ever at \"CVS\". She loved flowers, especially her hydrangers that were always all over her house. One of her favorite passions was photography and she spent much of her time taking pictures of her pride and joy, Elijah David and her friends and famiy.
Besides her parents she leaves a son, Timothy J. Costa of Coventry; a daughter, Sheena A. Costa, of East Providence; two sisters, Anne M. Dorney, John H., 91, of Providence, died July 25, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Rosalyn (Gill) Dorney. They were married for 64 years as of June 21st. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John H. and Josephine (Shanley) Dorney.
John was a truck driver for Providence Wholesale Drug Company. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 251 and a heavy equipment rigger. John also was a former real estate agent. He had a profound love of the State of Wyoming. John was an Army veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter, Joan Dorney Collins and a brother, Kenneth Dorney. He was brother of the late Jessie Paquette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 10 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence, followed by military honors. John C Fratus - East Providence, RI
(07/30/12) Fort Meyers, FL - John C. Fratus, 84, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the home of his daughter in Matlacha, FL after a recent diagnosis of melanoma.
Born in East Providence, RI, Jack was the son of the late John and Florence (Stone) Fratus. He was the husband of the late Hope (Silva) Fratus. He will be dearly missed by his daughters Cheryl Marszalek and her husband James of RI, Kathy Polubinski and her husband Kenneth of NY and Lynne Lauer and her husband Robert of FL. He was blessed with three grandchildren: Carl Marszalek, Melissa (Marszalek) Hope and Kristin Polubinski and with four great grandchildren. Jack is survived also by his sisters: Constance Brown of FL, Florence Oliver, Shirley Elman and Joan Lindsay all of RI.
Jack worked for and retired from the Mobil Oil Corporation. He lived an amazing life, full of great friends, a loving family and exciting world travels. He was a member of Rising Sun Lodge #30 F&AM in RI and of the Sunshine Singles and Bridge Club in FL.

Norman R Mumford - South Kingstown, RI
(07/30/12) South Kingstown – Norman R. Mumford, 47, of Amos Street died peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 26, 2012.
Born in South Kingstown, a son of George F. Mumford Sr. of Charlestown and of Janice L. (Skuce) Snow of Narragansett, he worked as a self-employed handyman.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his five siblings: George F. Mumford, Jr. of WA, Lisa Handy of West Warwick, Karen Hogan, Jeanie Reed and John Snow Jr. all of Narragansett and by fourteen nieces & nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 9:00 am at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Exeter.
