(12/11/14) Seekonk – Robert D. Marchetti, 77, formerly of Stratford, CT and Mashpee, MA, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia C. (Bradley) Marchetti for 51 years. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of the late Cleeko and Ann (Tedesco) Marchetti. Bob was a graduate of Stratford High School and later received his BA of Business from the University of Bridgeport. He served his country in the United States Army and was the co-owner of Miller Golf, Rockland, MA, with his late brother Dick Marchetti. Bob was a proud member of both the Pawtucket and New Seabury Country Clubs, where he enjoyed his favorite past-time with his many dear friends. He was passionate about cookbooks, restaurants and most of all eating good food. Bob was an avid woodworker and the heirloom quality furniture he created will be cherished forever. Bob’s main focus in life was his family. He organized many family reunions where he proudly showed off three daughters and spent time bragging about his eight grandchildren, which were the light of his life. Besides his beloved wife, he leaves three daughters, Celeste McGillicuddy and her husband, Brian of Trumbull, CT, Dina Bogosian and her husband, Jeff of North Kingstown, and Chrissy Collins and her husband Bill of Providence; eight grandchildren, Maddie, Dani, Claire, Mae, Sami, Max, Colton and Callie. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church, 67 Cole Ave., Providence. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery.
