(12/12/14) Francis William La Fleur, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Parisi) La Fleur. Born in North Providence on June 24, 1925, he was son of the late Robert and Florida La Fleur.
Mr. La Feur was employed as an aviation mechanic and firefighter for the U.S. Government at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station until his retirement. Francis also honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his beloved children: Dante B. Garganese of Vermont; Guy Daniels of No. Kingstown and Donna M. Morales and Debra A. Giglia, both of Florida. Devoted grandfather and great-grandfather.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 16th at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Rd., North Kingstown. Interment will follow at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
