(08/05/14) Providence - Robert G. Trunk, 62, of Douglas Avenue, and formerly of Fiskeville, RI died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Berkshire Place Nursing Home in Providence, RI.
Born in West Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late George C. and Yvonne (Martineau) Trunk. He is survived by seven cousins: Joanne (Couture) Maltagliati, S. Glastonbury, CT; Barbara (Camera) Potter, Johnston, RI; the late George E. Camera of Providence, RI; Susan A. (Trunk ) Deshpande, North Providence, RI; David G. Camera, Coventry, RI; Janice M. (Trunk) Conley, Coventry, RI; Ann (Camera) Therriault, Stratford, CT; Barbara E. (Trunk) McKnight, West Greenwich, RI.
Born with cerebral palsy, Robert, in spite of his illness attended school and graduated from Cranston West High School. Following high school, Robert was employed by the City of Cranston. Also, Robert was an avid fan of baseball and the Boston Red Sox.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 9:00 am at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Anyone attending the service is requested to enter the cemetery through its main entrance and gather on that road, just past the Cemetery’s Administration Building.
