He was born in Boligee, Alabama a son of the late Richard Franklin, Sr., and the late Bertha Mae (Wilson) Franklin. Mr. Franklin was a retired machine operator. He was the long term companion of Barbara Ferrell and is also survived by one daughter, Millie Holloway, two brothers, John and Joseph Franklin, one sister, Alberta Hall, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Martha Mae Young and was the brother of the late Robert Morris. Dillon. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George and Ellen T. (McCarthy) Buchanan. She resided in Warwick for 44 years. Mrs. Dillon’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves two daughters, Linda J. Dillon of Coventry and Mary S. Deming and her husband Craig of Hope and two granddaughters, Brianna and Morgan Deming. She was the mother of the late Carol A. and John J. Dillon, III and sister of the late George, Frank and James Buchanan. Jean always looked forward to birthday celebrations when her family could spend time together. She was excited for any excuse to gather. She was the winner of the Providence College Torch Bearer Award in 2013. She was an unselfish and kind person who loved people and never looked for anything in return. (07/15/14) Claire D. (Sicard) Petit, 90, daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Frenette) Sicard died peacefully on Thursday, July 10th, 2014, at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Florida. During her lifetime, Claire held many positions, including: co-ownership of the Friendly Shop in West Warwick, Rhode Island; serving as a youth home-life supervisor at the Children\'s Center in Providence; and working as a nursing assistant at the Rhode Island Medical Center, from which she retired in 1986. Claire enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Christian music. She donated her time visiting the sick in nursing homes and helping the needy. She was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and after moving to Florida she loved the Tampa Bay Rays. She enjoyed playing cards and always won the game! Her love for the Lord was evident and she prayed for all of her family and friends. She was known for ending conversations with \"Have a good Jesus day.\" She is survived by daughter, Pauline Cottle of Salisbury, North Carolina and son-in-law Richard Cottle; daughter Diane Harris (Valerien) of Lakeland, FL and son-in-law Russell Harris; son Dennis Petit of West Greenwich, and daughter-in-law Donna Petit; brother Raymond Sicard of West Warwick; grandchildren Brenda Callaghan, Debra Cloutier, Mitch Valerien, Richard P Cottle, Laurie Whitman, Christopher Petit, Jamey Petit, and Ryan Petit and twelve great-grandchildren. She also had an extended family granddaughter, Sherry Resendes and two step-granddaughters, Cheryl Menhennett and Rena Edmondson. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Petit; brother, Leon Sicard and sisters Doris Chisholm and Anita Coutu. McPeak, Sr. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Arthur and Melena (Pepin) Brouillard. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick. Mrs. McPeak was a food service employee at Kent County Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of SS. John and James Parish, an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 2, enjoyed playing Hi-Lo-Jack cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Robert J. McPeak, Jr. and his wife Helen of Palm Coast, Florida; three grandchildren, Lori Gessner, Bobbie-Jo DelBonis and Robert J. McPeak, III and six great grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas and Daria Gessner, Jamie Pisaturo, Ashley McPeak and Francesca Rose DelBonis. Richard was a vice president in the transportation industry until his illness. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, class of 1973 and Bryant University, class of 1977. He was involved in youth hockey sports. He was the loving father of Richard L. Stetson and Christopher L. Stetson, both of Scituate. Cherished brother of Cheryl S. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 pm.

(07/17/14) Pawtucket – Hubert “Curly” J. Fregeolle, 88, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marguerite “Peg” (Salois) Fregeolle, the couple would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on Labor Day. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Ernest and Alice (Millotte) Fregeolle. Curly was a World War II U. S. Navy veteran, he served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater aboard the destroyer, USS Picking. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Cecilia Church. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Charlene M. Fregeolle; a son, Ronald H. Fregeolle and his wife, Cindy; two grandsons, Charles M. Fregeolle and his wife, Jennifer and Ronald H. Fregeolle and his wife, Theresa and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Isabel and Shelby. He was the brother of the late Gerard A. Fregeolle. VISITATION will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave. Interment with Military Honors will be private.
