She was the loving sister of Vincent Muschiano and his wife Caroline of West Warwick, Theresa Messier and her husband David of West Warwick and Irene Cournoyer of Cranston. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. (05/30/14) Theresa R. (Desrosiers) Brodeur, 88, passed away on May 30 at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Brodeur. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Robitaille) Desrosiers. Theresa spent many years working in the fabric mills of Fall River and was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her son Richard Brodeur and his wife Helene Costa of Somerset, her son Robert Brodeur and his wife Marybeth of Providence, her grandson Benjamin Brodeur and his wife Nicole of New York, and her sister Florence Desrosiers of Fall River. She was the sister of the late Alfred Desrosiers and Dora (Desrosiers) Devin. Her funeral mass will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. (05/30/14) CUMBERLAND – Earl H. Ashley III, 60, of Manville Hill Road, died Wednesday, May 28, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Teresa (Picard) Ashley. Born in Providence, a son of the late Earl and Eileen (Carton) Ashley, he had lived in Seekonk before moving to Cumberland fourteen years ago. Earl loved to cook, and worked as a chef at Gator’s Pub, Burrillville, until his illness a few weeks ago. He loved the beach, and enjoyed spending time down in Misquamicut. He was a member of the Albion Social Club, Lincoln. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Dubuc of Pawtucket and Lori Lynn Grant, and her husband Matthew Grant of Connecticut; three sons, Christopher Ashley of Cumberland, Shawn Ashley of Groton, CT, and Joseph Butera of East Providence; one sister, Lesley Dubois, and her husband Doug Dubois of Pawtucket; and one niece, Jamie Dubois of Pawtucket. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, June 1 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited. His burial will be private. Jacky was a supervisor at the former Old Colony Newport National Bank, Rumford until retiring in 1989. She leaves a daughter, Jacquelyn M. Garlett-Robinson and her husband, Paul Robinson of Uxbridge; a grandson, Anthony J. Garlett of Seekonk; step-granddaughters, Kristen E. and Lauren M. Garlett; a step-great-grandson, Tyler M. (Podgurski) Gough, they had been married for 63 years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Andrew and Marie L. (Robidoux) Gough. Mr. Gough was a master tool maker & designer for many years working at Columbus Mold Company before retiring in 2001. He was a very active communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and an avid golfer. Besides his wife he leaves his children, Colleen L. Freitas and her husband John, Bernice K. Hand and her husband Paul and Bryant A. Gough and his wife Karen; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and three siblings, Marie Gorton and Andrew and Richard Gough. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Patrick Kolodzie. Mr. Kolodzie was born in Syracuse, NY on June 23, 1963, the son of the late Paul and Marie (Shifflet) Kolodzie. Charles was a self-employed contractor for many years. Jane was an elementary school teacher at various schools in the Coventry School System for 34 years before retiring in 2004. Besides her mother she leaves, three sisters, Katherine M. Roderick of Cape Coral, FL, Mary L. Padula and her husband Richard of North Kingstown and Prudence A. Watson and her husband Thomas of Coventry; two brothers, John J. Kittredge. Chuck served his country in the United States Air Force and was a lifetime member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850. Besides his mother, Chuck leaves a daughter, Christen A. Kotch of Rehoboth; two granddaughters, Madison Rose and Delaney Mae; a niece, Kathie Shields and a great-nephew and niece, Tyler and Katelyn Shields. (06/02/14) Coupe, Sister M. Olive, 92, a Sister of Mercy and a retired educator, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Mount St Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. Born Frances Cyrilla Coupe, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Alice (Eastham) Coupe. Sister Mary Olive was a 1938 graduate of St. Xavier Academy, Providence. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on February 2, 1941 and professed perpetual vows on August 16, 1946. Sister earned a BS in Education from Catholic Teachers College, Providence, and did graduate study in library science at Salve Regina University, Newport, RI. Sister Mary Olive began her education ministry teaching the third grade at St Joseph School in Pawtucket. Over the next years, she taught at St. Mary Cathedral School in Fall River, MA, St. Mary School in New Bedford, MA, Holy Ghost and St. Michael Schools in Providence, St. Mary in North Attleboro, St. Brendan in Riverside, St. Patrick in Providence, Sts. John and Paul in Coventry, and St. Margaret in Rumford. After many years in elementary education, Sister Olive completed her teaching career at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, MA. She then volunteered at Our Lady of Mercy Convent, Attleboro, from 1990 to 2004 when she moved to Franklin Court Assisted Living, Bristol, RI. She retired to a ministry of prayer at Mount St. Rita Health Centre in 2012. Through her many years of ministry, Sister Olive was known for her unique perspective and her equally unique humor. She was a serious Yankees fan and held her own among equally dedicated Red Sox followers. In addition to her religious community, the Sisters of Mercy, she leaves nieces Judith Coupe Brady and Ellie Coupe Frieder, and nephews, Tom and Greg Coupe. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sister M. Eucharista, MM, Theresa Brindley, Sister Marie Estelle, MM, Sister Magdalen Mary Coupe, RSM, and Sister Ann Miriam Coupe, MM. She was predeceased also by her brothers, Frederick, John, Augustine, and the Reverend Austin Coupe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at the Mount St Rita Chapel, Cumberland. Calling hours are Thursday from 9:15 to 10:50 a.m. in the Warde Room of Mount St Rita Health Centre; a Mercy Prayer Service in celebration of Sister Olive’s life will take place at 10:20. Mrs. Davies was a waitress and was the former owner of Axelrod Music in Providence and Johnston. She was a member of the Rhode Island Wind Ensemble. Besides her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Kristina L. Davies and Katherine E. Davies, and one son, John A. (06/03/14) Pawtucket - Elizabeth V. (Falconer) Sears, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She was the beloved wife of William Sears for sixty-one years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William and Isabella (Dougan) Falconer. Betty loved spending time with her family. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Craig D. Sears and his wife, Colleen of Cumberland; a daughter, Debra L. Girard and her husband, James of Attleboro; a stepson, Robert Sears and his wife, Linda of San Jose, CA; three grandchildren, Erin Camirand and her husband, Chris, Lauryn Girard and Jordan Girard and two great-granddaughters, Rilee and Brooklynn Camirand all of Attleboro. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Doris Sears of East Providence; a brother-in-law, Ernest Audette of Pawtucket and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Hesford, George Falconer, Catherine Audette, Isabella Rau and William Falconer. Services will be private. For online condolences visit: TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com
