(10/05/12) Richard R. Conti, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Greenwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Warwick. He was the husband of Cynthia “Cindy” A. (Marsocci) Conti of West Warwick. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Conti) Conte.
Mr. Conti was the bar manager at Valley Country Club in Warwick for many years leaving in 1996. He was a member of the US Army National Reserves and was an avid golfer.
Besides his wife Cindy, he is survived by three children: Richard Conti, Jr. of West Warwick, Bianca Conti of West Warwick and Lisa Conti-Ruest of Coventry; a brother Paul Conte and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings: Fred Conti, Ralph Conte, Gloria Conte and William Conti.

(10/06/12) Exeter - Makayla Stephenie Giordano, 10, a 5th grade student at Metcalf Elementary School died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Hasbro Childrens Hospital in Providence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Nashua, NH, she was the beloved daughter of Jennifer A. (LeTellier) Giordano of Exeter and Joshua S. Giordano of Hancock, NY.
Makayla loved to dance and swim, design and draw, sing and read. She was active in band at school, just learning to play the clarinet and she loved helping others in the community. Makayla will always be remembered for her love, her kindness and her generosity.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sisters Amber Marie Giordano and Zoey Anna-Rae Giordano; her maternal grandparents Raymond and Gail (Zawadowicz) LeTellier of Danbury, NH and her paternal grandmother Vikki (Haines) Giordano of Lakewood, PA. She was the granddaughter of the late Stephen Giordano.

(10/07/12) Joan S. Dolan, 87, passed away on Thursday evening, October 4th, 2012.
Joan is survived by her four children, Susan Geers of New Jersey, Robert Dolan of Massachusetts, David Dolan of Block Island, and John Dolan of New York. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and her sister Linda Crowley of Pennsylvania.
Joan was born on February 11, 1925. Joan spent her summers on the island as a young girl, and moved to the island years later to make it her permanent home. Joan will be remembered for her love of cats and her devotion to, and love of her church.
A memorial service will be held at St. Anne’s by the Sea on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.

He was the beloved husband of Beth M. (Simpson) Finnerty, they had been married for 60 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Peter J. and M. Regina (Donahue) Finnerty. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Mr. Finnerty was a truck driver for Agway Petroleum for 25 years before retiring in 1997. He was a life member of the Crompton Veterans Organization and a member of Club Joques where he played in both golf leagues. He was an avid golfer and a Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Paula M. McCormick of Coventry and Donna L. Gravitt and her husband Glenn of West Greenwich; two sons, Paul B. Finnerty and his wife Jean of Charlotte, NC and Glen A. Finnerty of West Warwick; two sisters, Carolyn Edison of Akron, OH, Sheila M. Cabral of West Warwick; three brothers, Raymond and Peter Finnerty both of Hope and Leonard Finnerty of Coventry, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert, Edward, Richard, Dennis and James Finnerty.

Sister Joan Mulligan, RSM - Cumberland, RI
(10/08/12) MULLIGAN, SISTER JOAN MARIE, 83, (formerly Sister M. Francelyn), a Sister of Mercy and a long time educator, passed away on October 8, 2012 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Welch) Mulligan. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on September 8, 1948, and professed her perpetual vows on August 16, 1954.
Sister Joan was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, class of 1948. She earned a B.S. in Education from Catholic Teachers College in Providence.
Sister began her teaching ministry in 1951 at St. Mary Academy, Bay View elementary school and in 1955 was appointed to St. Patrick School, Providence. In 1960 she was transferred to St. James School, West Warwick and then in 1962 to St. Augustine School, Newport. In 1964 Sister Joan was appointed to teach at St. Edward School, Pawtucket (now Woodlawn Catholic Regional School) and in 1968 she began her ministry at St. Mary School, Pawtucket, where she remained for 32 years.
In addition to her religious community, the Sisters of Mercy, she leaves a brother- in-law, Salvatore LoBello, and a niece, Joanne, and three nephews, Richard, Robert, and John. She was the sister of the late Hope LoBello and John Mulligan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 11, at 11 a.m. in Mount St. Rita Chapel, Cumberland. Visitation will be from 9 am to 10:50 am with a Mercy Prayer Service at 10:20 am. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. (10/08/12) Roland F. Wing, 65, of Warwick, died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 4, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Linda Ann (Wood) Wing. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Leo Wing and Una (Roberts) Wing.
Mr. Wing was employed as a Commercial Construction Worker until his retirement.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he earned two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star Medal. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons, Donovan Wing of Florida, Rocco Wing of Pennsylvania, and one step-son, Thomas Crum of Florida. Cherished grandfather of two grandchildren. He was the brother of Betty Ann Bolduc of Florida.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 So. County Trail, Exeter, RI. He attended Northeastern University Evening Division in Providence, before entering the army in 1942. Bill served with the 32nd Military Government Company in Tokyo as Administrative Officer. In late 1946 he was relieved from duty to return home. Bill was employed by Cranston Print Works Company for many years as Director of Costs and Pricing, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Paul\'s Knights of Columbus, Cranston, Cranston Country Club, Pawtuxet Athletic Club and the Cranston YMCA. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Nancy J. Myrtle was a bookkeeper for many years for Moore’s Motor Service of Coventry, RI. She was a communicant of Maple Root Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by two brothers; LeRoy G. Moore and Clarence M. Moore, two sisters; June A. Fischer and Hazel T. Bowen, two grandchildren; Joy L. Case and Craig W. Pettigrew, four great grandchildren; Shaina, Chelsea, Matthew and Katelynn, and a great, great grandson; Raymond. She was predeceased by a daughter; Joan H. (10/09/12) Warwick - Rita C. (Rickey) Hogan, age 86, of Cowesett Road and formerly of Cove Avenue died at her daughter’s home in North Kingstown on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Hogan, Sr. to whom at the time of his death in 2001 she had been married forty-two years.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late David J. and Edna C. (Palardy) Rickey. Prior to staying home to raise her family she worked at the Blood Bank in Providence, at the Ciani Jewelry Company and at Apex in Warwick. Rita traveled extensively while her husband served in the Armed Services for twenty-six years.
Since 2001 she was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church and previously for thirty-four years was a proud member of the St. Rose of Lima parish.
She is survived by one daughter: Candace M. Pechak and her husband Mark of North Kingstown; three sons: Raymond J. Hogan, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Falmouth, MA, Michael J. Hogan and his wife Jacqueline of Wakefield and Chris A. Hogan and his wife Erica of Warwick; one sister: Erin Isabella of Johnston and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers: David, Everett, Herbert and Edward Rickey and by her sisters: Del Coty, Dorothy Dugan and Claire Rickey.
Rita’s family remembers her as a kind and loving person who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and who cherished her children and grandchildren. The care and devotion she offered to her family truly defined her as she worshiped every moment spent with her family.

Born in Scranton, PA, a son of the late Beatrice (Thomas) Needham, Thomas was a resident of South County since 1978. During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Needham served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Carbondale, PA. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. Thomas retired from management with JCPenney Company and was an avid striped bass fisherman.

Filomena "Minnie" E Amoroso - Warwick, RI
(10/09/12) AMOROSO, FILOMENA E., \"Minnie\", 91, passed away Tuesday October 9, 2012 at home. Born in Providence a daughter of the late Domenico and Loreta (Carnevale) Amoroso.
She was the sister of Grace Gambardella, Julia Califano, Anna Phaneuf, Margaret Amoroso and the late Felix, Romeo, Joseph and Victor Amoroso. She also leaves her devoted and special niece, with whom she lived, Donna Phaneuf and many other nieces and nephews.
Her funeral is Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from \"WOODLAWN\" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict\'s Church, Warwick. Frank L Ford - --Elsewhere, RI
(10/10/12) Frank Louis Ford, 43, died unexpectedly Saturday September 15, 2012 in Fort Pierce FL. He was born in Westerly, RI on August 4, 1969.
Mr. Ford was the son of Susan ( Brunner) Gaccione of Westerly and the late Pasquale Gaccione, and Helen (Testa) Ford of Providence, RI and the late Calvin Ford Junior.
Frank is survived by his spouse Deana (Danley) Ford and sons Cody and Noah of Cornelius, N.C. He was also the father of Kayla (Ford) Elston (Jarrod) of Seale, AL. Also surviving Frank are his siblings, Pasquale Gaccione (Jean) of Alamogordo, N.M., Calvin G. Ford III of Ft. Pierce FL, Albert A. Gaccione of Westerly, RI, Elizabeth (Ford) Raffo (Michael) of Lincolnton, N.C., Susan Jeschke (Karl) of Providence, RI, Karen Kittell (Eric) of Providence, RI and George Corrente, Jr. (Susan) of Providence, RI. He was predeceased by an infant sister Charlotte O. Ford and by an infant son Kyle J. Ford.
Through the years, Frank has been self-employed. He was the owner operator of the former Gotcha Covered Flooring Installations of Port Saint Lucie, FL. Frank was also a little league and football coach for the Port St. Lucie, FL Athletic Association.
Frank was known for his kindness, helpfulness, pranks and wicked sense of humor. A lasting memorial for Frank was organ donation. Some of his bones will be helping cancer patients, eyes will bring sight to two people, and tissue samples will be used for research in heart disease and diabetes.
A memorial service was held on September 29, 2012 in Port St. Lucie, FL. A gathering of family and friends in Frank’s memory will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Carriage House @ the Babcock-Smith House Museum, 124 Granite Street, Westerly. Contributions to Frank’s children’s educational fund can be brought to the memorial gathering.

Michael R. Reagan - Fall River, MA
(10/10/12) Michael R. Reagan, “Talking Spirit”, 64, of Third St., Fall River, husband of Priscilla (Adams) Reagan, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Dighton Intertribal Indian Council.
Besides his wife of 19 years, he leaves 7 children, Michael R. Reagan, Jr. of Alaska, Melody DeBairos and her husband Thomas of Attleboro, Andrew Reagan of Tiverton, Jennifer Reagan of Sarasota, Florida, Karen Dumas and her husband Thad, Chrissy Andrade and Jennifer Andrade, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Jaime and Ariana DeBairos, Janessa, Keoni-Mana, Triston, Derek, Maria, Andrew, Thomas and Siccila Reagan, Nisa and Chad Vieira, Tiffaney and Peter Michael Pacheco and Zachary Andrade; and great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Jayce Vieira and Jayde and Lilyth Tavares. He was the father of the late Joseph Andrade; the grandfather of the late Jeffrey Vieira and Joseph Andrade; and the son of the late George Eaton and Mary Reagan.
Visitation, Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
