(05/16/14) East Falmouth – Leo J. Lachance, 89, of East Falmouth and formerly of South Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Mabell B. (Curtis) Lachance. Born in Central Falls, RI, the son of the late Henri and Malvina (Robidoux) Lachance, he resided in South Attleboro until moving to East Falmouth in 1995. Leo was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the proprietor of Dottie’s Caterers, Pawtucket, RI for fifty years until retiring in 1995. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Donald Langevin and wife, Anne of Norton, MA; three daughters, Linda (Langevin) Hardt and husband, David of Attleboro, MA, Deborah (Langevin) Alavosius of Exeter, RI and Michelle Lee of Essex, MA; a sister, Marie Caldwell and husband, George of Attleboro; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Doris Mastrosimone, Claire Mueller and Laurette Shaw. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.
