(02/19/13) ARDENTE, ANN, 99, of Cranston, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 16 at her home. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Raimondo and Carmella (DiOrio) Ardente and sister of the late Beatrice Kerr, Esther, Genaro, Alfred, and Ernest Ardente. She was loved and will be missed by her surviving family of Raymond and Arthur Ardente, along with her nine nephews and nieces to whom she was generous and caring. Ann was educated in Providence and later moved to Cranston for her entire life where she established and operated her own business, Ann Jewelry. Later, she became owner and operator of Ardente Supply Company along with her family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, Garden City, Cranston. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of R.L., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904.
