(07/16/12) Maurice L. “Mugsy” Denault, 85, formerly of Eastern Ave., Fall River, husband of the late Virginia (Clement) Denault, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.
A Navy veteran of WW II, he was an officer at the New Bedford House of Correction and a security guard for Comm. Electric.
He was the father of Patricia Coelho (Jeffrey) of Tiverton, and Kathryn Thiboutot (Joseph Marois) of Westport; the “Pop” of Keith Thiboutot (Catia), Christian Thiboutot (Carla), Kyle Thiboutot (Heather) and Kristy DeSousa; and the “Pop Pop” of Alexis and Justin DeSousa and Gina, Alicia, Emma and Sophia Thiboutot. He was the great-grandfather of the late Mia Thiboutot; the son of the late Philemon Denault and Evelyn (Caron) Denault Plante; the stepson of the late Leo Plante; and the brother of the late Edward, Rene and Robert Denault.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in St. Bernadette Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
