(01/03/13) McCaffrey, Ruth, 104, passed away at Scalabrini Villa on Thursday, January 3, 2013. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Mary (Scheuren) McCaffrey. Ms. McCaffrey had worked for Associates Discount Inc. and Citizens Bank for many years.
She is survived by a sister Claire (McCaffrey) Sharpe of East Greenwich, six nieces: Roberta (Sharpe) McMahon and late husband Robert, Kathleen Sharpe, Paula (Sharpe) Hiebert and husband Theodore, Anne McCaffrey, Leah (McCaffrey) King and husband Jaxon Miller, Ellen McCaffrey and husband Robert McKenna and a nephew Paul McCaffrey and wife Fran and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph S. McCaffrey.
Calling hours will be at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich, West Warwick TODAY from 10:30-11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy, 65 Third Street, East Greenwich.
