(12/26/12) Warwick - Patricia L. Pirolli, 75, of Iroquois Drive, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Frederick Pirolli and the late Joseph Ferreira.
Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary (Souza) Mann.
During her lifetime Pat worked as a case worker, employed by Johnston Mental Health; previously working for Speidel and as the activities director at Evergreen Nursing Home in East Providence. She also was a professional seamstress and wedding gown designer and the owner of Patti Jeans Fabrics in Warwick. She graduated magna cum laude from Rhode Island College in 1983 at which time she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and after which she was nominated and accepted for publication in that year’s edition of “Who’s Who in American College and Universities”.
Pat spent many hours helping others and advocating for someone when he/she couldn’t help themselves. She was a member of the Red Hat Society; a past president of Parents Without Partners and a volunteer at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Warwick where she was a part of the parish’s prayer groups.
She is survived by two sons: Louis J. Geremia of Warwick and Kevin Geremia of Coventry; three daughters: Alex C. Ferreira of Johnston, Susan J. Ferreira of Cranston and Lynn M. Ferreira of Johnston; one sister: Mary Higham of Cranston; seven grandchildren: Johnathan, Carra, Denise, Joseph, Dorian, Kasey and Stephen and four great grandchildren: Tylor, Alexa, Aleah and Joseph. She was predeceased by four siblings: Beverly, Gloria, Sandra & Gilbert.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick.
