(11/05/12) Arthur J. Colerick, 89, of Warwick passed away October 29, 2012 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria A. (DeBarros) Colerick. They had celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 20. 2012. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Edwin and Charlotte (Dalton) Colerick.
Mr. Colerick was a Circulation Manager for Proctor & Gamble and previously an Expeditor for Leesona Corp. for 20 years.
A proud veteran, he entered the service at age 17 (1 year prior to WW II) and actively served in many battles. Prior to his assignment on the U.S.S. New Jersey he was assigned to submarine service in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres of Action. He was a member of the Battleship New Jersey Veterans Association.
Mr. Colerick enjoyed singing and was a member of the Warwick Civic Chorale.
He was the loving brother of Everett Colerick of Wakefield and the late Edwin, Walter and Lawrence Colerick and Mildred Colerick-Brenner. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Tuesday, November 6th from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in The Historic Chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, 555 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will follow.
