(10/29/12) Cumberland – Helen (Donaghey) Egan, 94, of Old Angell Road died Friday, October 26, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late James R. Egan, Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late James J. and Agnes (Parks) Donaghey, she had lived in Cumberland for the past 62 years.
Mrs. Egan was a timekeeper for Fram Corporation for many years before retiring in 1978.
She was a communicant of Historic St. Joseph’s Church, Cumberland.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Egan of Cumberland; one son, James R. Egan, Jr. of Smithfield; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Janet Palmer and the sister of the late Martha Pellerin, Agnes Nolan, James Donaghey and Letitia P. Arnold.
Her funeral will be held FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2 at 9:30 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Historic St. Joseph’s Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
