(10/24/12) Maria da Conceicao Rocha age 97 of Fall River, passed away October 21, 2012. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Antonia Jesus (Rego Viveiros) Rocha. Maria had worked as a seamstress in the garment industry. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church and the Holy Rosary Society.
Maria was survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Jose, Manuel, Mariano, Francisco, Joaquim, Jacinto, Antonio, Joao, Augusto and Maria Rocha.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave. Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
