(09/28/15) John P. Costello, 80, of Warwick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 26, 2015, after a long illness. He was the son of the late John P. and Veronica (Hafferty) Costello.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Claire M. (Moran) Costello, his sons Peter J. and William J., his daughter, Kathleen M. Sears, as well as seven grandchildren.
John was employed as an operating engineer for the former Providence Gravure for 37 years. He also served in The United States Army during the Korean War.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
