(09/28/15) Pawtucket – Thatcher J. Berry, 88, of Pawtucket died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Elinor A. (Brown) Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Berry were married for 67 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Thomas Edward and Esther (Casartello) Berry, he had lived in Pawtucket all of his life. Mr. Berry was an inside sales representative for International Supply Company, Cranston for 40 years before retiring in 1993. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Korean War Veterans. He was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Pawtucket for many years, serving in many capacities. Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving son, Paul T. Berry of Warwick; his beloved seven grandchildren, Michael Berry, Melissa Berry, Eric Berry, Lauren Gilligan, Russell Beauregard, Holly Junge and Lisa Ober; his seven beloved great grandchildren, Zakkary and Zander Ober, Noelle Junge, Marik and Thatcher Beauregard, and John and Lucas Gilligan. He was the father of the late David Berry and the brother of the late Charles Berry. His Requiem Eucharist will be held Thursday, October 1 at 10:30 A.M. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 490 Broadway, Pawtucket. His burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Wednesday 5-8 P.M.
