Shirley B (Bagley) Moran - Cranston, RI

(09/10/15) Shirley B. (Bagley)Moran, 102, formerly of Oak Hill Drive died Wednesday at the Kent Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Dr. Francis P. Moran, DMD. Born in Enfield, CT, a daughter of the late W. Nelson and Edith (Fuller) Bagley, she had been a Cranston resident for 25 years. Mrs. Moran was an elementary vocal teacher in the Providence School System before retiring in 1978. She was a 1935 graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and made her professional debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra the same year. Mrs. Moran won the Mason Hamlin Competition in 1933. She leaves a daughter, Paula Moran of Providence; two sons, Dr. Gerald F. Moran, Ph.D. of Ann Arbor, MI his wife, Anita and William F. Moran and his wife, Dotty of Cranston. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; mother-in-law of Ilse Moran of Baltimore. She was the mother of the late Robert F. Moran and sister of the late Eugene R. Bagley, James F. Bagley and W. Nelson, Bagley, Jr. mother-in-law of the late Marion J. Moran. Her funeral will be Saturday September 19th at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Calling Hours at 8 AM one hour prior to the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, One Cathedral Square, Providence at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
