(08/15/15) James D. Blanchard, 73, of Chastain Drive, Melbourne, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Home and Hospice Care of RI, Providence, RI. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Myron E. and Valida (Dubois) Blanchard.
James was an independent truck driver for forty years until retiring. He was an avid boater, and enjoyed scuba diving, fishing and car collecting.
He is survived by two sons; Dale M. Blanchard and Robert P. Blanchard, a daughter; Jeanette D. DeHart, two sisters; Deborah Wong and Lorraine Hacket and six grandchildren.
His services will be private and are under the direction of Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
