(07/16/15) Beverly S. (Cleworth) Case, 78, of Beach Street, Westerly, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015 at the Westerly Hospital. She is survived by her six children, Urling Sylvia (husband Bob), Alice Hathaway (husband Clarence), Scott Hathaway (wife Kate), Melanie Hathaway, Terrence Case (wife Jenny), and Timothy Case. She also leaves nine grandchildren; Samantha, Margaret, Emily, Jason, Micayla, Lily, Olivia, Tristan and Rowen, and two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ashlynn. She also had three stepchildren, Jennifer Fitzgerald, Jonathan Case, and Kelly Taylor.
She leaves behind many friends including; Priscilla Squier, Donald and Diane Forbes, Martha Coneybear, and countless others.
Beverly was born in Somerville, MA on March 24, 1937, the only child of the late John and Alice Cleworth. For more than 25 years, Beverly was a social worker for Family Services of Rhode Island in Providence. Beverly loved, above all else, helping people, so she found great satisfaction in her work.
She was a very active member of the All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in New London, CT, whom she considered her extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 19 Jay Street, New London, CT.
