(07/16/15) Woodard Henry D. “Hank”, Jr., 65, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Kent Hospital of Warwick, RI. He was born in Providence to Marjorie M. Woodard of North Kingstown, RI and the late Henry D. Woodard, Sr.
Henry had worked at Raytheon Co. in Waltham and Andover, MA , for 34 years as a test technician and was also Deputy for the Lowell Police Auxiliary for 25 years. He had an exuberant personality always reaching out to others, trying to help or just simply having a discussion. Hank truly enjoyed the ocean and was fascinated with the beauty of York Beach in Maine where he had visited many times. One of his other passions was spending time with his dog, Goldie.
Besides his mother Marjorie, he is survived by a sister: Margaret R. Killea of North Kingstown, RI and his brother Leslie G. Woodard of Arlington, MA; friend and former wife: Denise Woodard of Lowell, MA; a niece: Julie Boutwell (husband Patrick and great nephew Henry Oliver) of Warwick; a nephew: Mark Howard of Providence and many cousins.
His funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI on Saturday, July 18th at 4 PM. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-4 PM.
