(06/10/15) Fall River Firefighter Mark H. Marcoux, 48, of Fall River, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 10, 2015 following a long illness.
A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School, Class of 1985, he was a member of the Firefighters Union. An avid sports fan and sportsman, he was a championship Immaculate Conception CYO ballplayer and enjoyed playing softball and the camaraderie of the K & J Softball Team. He loved music, attending concerts and spending time with his family and friends.
He was the son of Leo J. and Theresa (Mercier) Marcoux of Fall River; the brother of Thomas L. Marcoux of Fall River, Patricia L. LeClerc (husband Richard) of East Sandwich, MA, Vivian Brizido (husband Joseph) of Swansea, James N. Marcoux of Tiverton and Michelle Y. Barresi (husband Jay) of Fall River; the uncle of Beth, Derek, Kim, Cindy, Nick, Brittany, Ted, Mark and the late Melissa; the companion of Tammy Bettencourt of Westport and also leaves many grandnieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church, Eastern Ave., Fall River. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery.
