Francis "Sal" E Serydynski - Warwick, RI

(06/04/15) Francis E. \"Sal\" Serydynski, 79, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine E. (McDonough) Serydynski for 52 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alice (Brown) Serydynski. Sal was employed with Rhode Island Produce (Almacs) for 30 years until his retirement. He also proudly served in The United States Army. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 251. He enjoyed singing and dancing and was a sports enthusiast. He was the loving father of Catherine R. Hawes and her husband Barry of Warwick, John F. Serydynski and his wife Jo-Anne of Hopkinton and Francine M. Petrone and her husband Richard of North Kingstown. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Adrianna and Zachery Hawes, Adam and Johnna Serydynski and Rachel and Hannah Petrone. Caring great grandfather of two. He also leaves several loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Serydynski and Mary Mello. His funeral will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 8:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the American Heart Assn., 1 State Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
