(09/21/12) North Providence – Michael C. Kwolek, 70, of Gillen Avenue died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Beaulieu) Kwolek.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph and Nettie (Hrycaj) Kwolek, he had lived in Lincoln for most of his life before moving to North Providence.
Mr. Kwolek was the controller for the Pawtucket Times for 30 years before retiring. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy and Bryant College, now Bryant University.
He was a member of Pawtucket Elks Lodge BPOE #920.
He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Spinella of Woonsocket, Lori Brown of Cumberland and Kristen Carvalho of North Providence; one sister, Joan Gagnier and one brother, Joseph Kwolek, both of Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. He was the “Good Guy” to six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
