(03/04/15) Antonio V. Andrade, 65, of Providence St., West Warwick, passed away Wednesday morning, March 4, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Maria F. (DaPonte) Andrade, they had been married for 40 years. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Maria (Estrela) Andrade. He resided in West Warwick since 1968.
Mr. Andrade loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid cook and gardener and enjoyed playing cards.
Besides his wife he leaves three children, Anthony V. Andrade, Stephanie M. Brown and Kevin Andrade all of West Warwick; two brothers, Jose Andrade and Manuel Andrade both of West Warwick; two sisters, Ana Lucianno of Hope and Lucia Ponte of Sao Miguel; two daughters-in-law, Mary Andrade and Ashley Andrade; a son-in-law, Thomas Brown ; six grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
His funeral will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 7:45 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Ave., West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
