(02/20/15) Ralph G. Allen, 88, of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Jean Ann (Hunt) Allen. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Clarence G. and Maude H. (Hoey) Allen.
Mr. Allen was a Retired Senior Chief of the US Navy having served in the Pacific during WWII and the Korean War. He was a supervisor for CIBA-Geigy for 21 years. He was also a member of Branch Fleet Reserves Association.
He was the beloved father of Leslie J. Allen of East Providence. Caring brother of his twin Joan E. Nance of Excelsior Springs, MO and the late George, Donald, and David Allen. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda M. LeBrun and her husband Scott of Middletown
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 pm. Burial in Highland Memorial Park will be private.
