(02/02/15) Richard L. Smith, 92, of Station Street, Coventry, RI, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Home and Hospice of RI, Providence, RI. Born in Seekonk, MA, he was the husband of Myriam (Rivero) Smith. They were married for forty-seven years. He was the son of the late Roy and Jennie (Lane) Smith.
Richard was a chief electrician aboard the hospital ship Hope for twenty-five years. He was also an electrician for BIF Industries for ten years.
Besides his loving wife he leaves a daughter; Lesley Wargo, two grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by two sisters; Doris Worden and Frances Smith.
His services will be private.
