(11/23/14) Providence - Martha E. (Holloway) Kent, 88 died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Berkshire Place Nursing Home, Providence. She was the wife of the late Newton C. Kent.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Mabelle A. (Eastman) Holloway, she previously lived in Pawtucket for many years and in Coventry. She worked as an assembler in the jewelry manufacturing industry, employed last at Fort Jewelry in Rumford.
She is survived by one daughter: Jean Marie VanOver of Clarksville, TN; one granddaughter: Summer VanOver of Clarksville, TN; two grandsons: Christopher and John VanOver of Clarksville, TN and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Gordon S. Holloway, Elaine Carlisle, Eileen Yorke and Florence J. Gill.
Her funeral service and burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
