(10/07/14) KELLEY, Robert E., Capt. WWFD (Ret.), 78, of Vine St., West Warwick, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at home.
Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Battalion Chief Edward E. Kelley, WWFD and Agnes L. (Brindamour) Kelley. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Captain Kelley served with the West Warwick Fire Department for 30 years before retiring in 1991. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, communicant of SS. Peter & Paul Church, member of the American Hunting Club, Trout’s Unlimited, RI Salt Water Anglers and the Special Signal Organization.
He is survived by two brothers, Michael F. Kelly and his wife Judy of West Warwick and Rev. Edward J. Kelley of Columbia, SC; three nieces and several grand nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at 9 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, Highland St., West Warwick. Interment with military honors will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm.
