(10/06/14) Alice Rose (Bouley) Felice, 87, of Westerly passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Born in Woonsocket on Nov. 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Berthe (Lamoureux) Bouley.
Alice worked for Watts Hairdressing of Providence & Watch Hill for 25 years before opening her own salon, Alice Hairdressing, which she operated for 35 years before retiring in 2011.
Alice was a lifetime associate member of the Westerly Yacht Club. She was an avid baker, often bringing her homemade treats to her customers. She loved spending summers at the beach, but her true joy in life was spending time with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Turano, her three grandchildren, Michael and his wife Mary, David and his wife Amy, and Kathy and her husband R.J. and nine great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jonathan, Molly, Owen, Emma, Ryan, Sara, Caitlin and Samuel. She also leaves a sister Annette Benjamin.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond & Emile Bouley and sister, Georgette Turcotte.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, Westerly with burial to follow at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly.
Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the RJM Haiti Mission Fund, 821 Varnum Street NE, Suite 225, Washington, DC 20017.
