(09/02/12) Pawtucket – Louis Ricciarelli, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was the beloved Husband of the late Medora L. (Smith) Ricciarelli for over 50 years. Born in Pescia, Italy, he was a son of the late Torello and Guiseppa (Papini) Ricciarelli. Louis worked for Newman-Crosby Steel, Co. for many years until his retirement. He was an active member of various organizations for the mentally disabled, including; The Blackstone Valley ARC, Planning Committee of the Blackstone Valley ARC Golf Tournament and was a founding member of the Parents & Friends of the Retarded. Louis was also a member of the IDIP Club, Pawtucket, committee member of Boy Scouts Troops 25 and 39, Pawtucket and a past officer of the Darlington American Little League. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, traveling with the family, gardening and tending to his prize tomatoes, fishing, camping and following the NE Patriots. He was a devoted and loving grandfather. He especially enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren, Chelsea Boisclair and her husband, Sean, Ross, Carissa, Sara and Brent Ricciarelli and his great-granddaughter, Alexis Boisclair. Besides his grandchildren, Louis leaves two sons, Mark W. Ricciarelli of Cumberland and Glenn M. Ricciarelli and his wife, Pamela of North Scituate; a daughter in law, Deborah Ricciarelli, wife of his late son, Louis Ricciarelli, Jr. of Exeter and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gina Natalini, Anthony Ricciarelli, Pia Palagi and Bruno Ricciarelli. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
