(09/07/14) Manuel Vierra, 91, of West Warwick passed away on Saturday, September 6th at Kent Regency. He was the husband of the late Mary (Amaral) Vierra. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Manuel and Mary A. (Vieira) Vierra.
Mr. Vierra was a Maintenance employee for P.V. Dye Co. for 35 years then Leviton Mfg. Co. for 10 years until his retirement. He served in The United States Army during WW II. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed visiting casinos.
He was the beloved father of Joseph Vierra and his wife Debra of Cape Coral, FL, James Vierra and his wife Jean of Holden, MA, Humberto Vierra and his wife Rose of Warwick and Elaine Jencks and her husband Daniel of North Scituate. Loving grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of sixteen. He was the brother of the late August, Joseph, Domenic and Alfred Vierra and Mary Mello.
His funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the American Diabetes Assn., 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
