(08/31/12) Lincoln – Robert W. Briggs, 92, of Sir Charles Drive died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Emerald Bay Manor, Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Lorraine E. (Block) Briggs.
Born in Rockland, MA, a son of the late George E. and Annie M. (Wright) Briggs, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 52 years.
Mr. Briggs worked in the stock room of Blackstone Valley Electric Company, Lincoln before retiring.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a life member of VFW Post #8018.
A 32nd Degree mason, he was a member of Paul Revere Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Brockton, MA.
He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, Pawtucket and the First Baptist Church of America, Providence.
He is survived by one daughter, Carla C. Brown and her companion, Karl Babbitt, one son, Eric A. Briggs and his wife, Kelley, and one granddaughter, Amanda Briggs, all of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Lawrence Briggs.
His funeral will be held TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 at 10 A.M. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, MA.
