(08/06/14) Ralph M. \"Butch\" Davis III, 64, of Warwick passed peacefully in the presence of his family on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ralph M. Davis, Jr. and Pauline (Harrop) Davis.
Mr. Davis was a Foreman for Narragansett Improvement, Inc. until his retirement due to ill health. He was a member of the International Laborers Union of North America, Local 271. He was a kind and honest man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He built his home in Exeter and continued to enjoy working on his home and it\'s grounds. Throughout his life he was an avid outdoorsman who loved surfing, skiing, motorcycle trail riding and being in or on the ocean. He cherished, above all else, the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Dawn D. Greene and her husband Rick and their children Mackenzie, Jack, Anderson and Gus, all of Medfield, MA; and his son Jason R. Davis, his wife Holly and their children Cooper, Harrington and Finley, all of Northboro, MA. He is also survived by his devoted companion Glenda C. Topp of Warwick and his sisters Joanne Rodgers and Paula J. Plont, both of Knoxville, TN and his former wife Shirley Davis Silvestro.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will be private.
