(07/22/14) Connie A. Christina, 101, of Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014 at the Westerly Nursing Home. She is survived by her sister, Anna M. Christina of Pawcatuck, and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Rose Christina, Mary Longolucco and Josephine Martin and her brothers, Angelo Christina, Peter Christina and Jack Christina.
Miss Christina was born in Pawcatuck on July 4, 1913, the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Domenica (DiPolina) Christina. She was a bookkeeper for over 60 years at DeNoia Brothers Furniture & Repair Service, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Westerly Senior Center and the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Pawcatuck following the service. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.
