(07/04/14) Gladys Marilyn \"Lynn\" Holder, left her earthly body to be present with The Lord and her loved ones before her on Friday, June 27, 2014. Born and raised in and around Parkman, Maine, her family moved to RI in the 50s. Lynn was a multi-talented woman. She enjoyed art through drawing, painting, making people laugh and writing. She was a gifted musician who could harmonize easily, as well as, play many instruments such as guitar, harmonica, piano, etc. she could pretty much get a song out of any instrument you handed her. She instilled a love for art, laughter and music in her children and grandchildren. Lynn was also a great fan of Jesus Christ, Elvis, the New England Patriots, anything Cajun, gospel hymns, fishing, and NASCAR racing, in that order. She had a knack for finding other people\'s lost items, but not her own. A trained LPN, she was proud of her time as Administrator of Country Manor Rest Home in North Kingstown in the 70s. She retained her love for medical knowledge throughout her life. Nothing gave Lynn more joy than her family and friends. Every conversation ended in \"I love you\" or \"I love you more\" and you knew she meant it. She was a daughter of the late Guy and Gladys (Tewksbury) Gilman. Beloved mother of John Shadeck and his wife Lie of West Greenwich and Shawna Kelley and her husband Brian of Haverhill, MA. Loving grandmother of Jonathan Shadeck, Joshua, Alyssa and Michelle Torres and Xu Liang. Cherished great grandmother of Angel, Jackson, Anna, Izabella and Ian. Caring sister of Arlene Steeves of Exeter and the late Norman Gilman. She is also survived by her dearest friends whom she loved like her own, Jenn Gould and her son Noah. Her Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements by THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.
