(06/30/14) Mitchell Zienowicz, 88, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014. He was the husband of the late Lynn (Crowell) Zienowicz. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Felicia (Kacofka) Zienowicz.
Mr. Zienowicz, along with three of his brothers, were the founding partners of Zienowicz Brothers, Inc., a machine-tool rebuilding company, where he served as president until retiring in 1998. He also served in The United States Army Air Force during WW II. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church until last year.
He was the beloved father of Lori Alquier of Whitehouse Station, NJ and Stephen M. Zienowicz of Mill Valley, CA. Loving grandfather of Stephen and Jeffrey MacNeil. Caring brother of Jennie Tedeschi of Warwick, Melvina Zienowicz and Irene Salzillo, both of Johnston, Phyllis Mendozzi of Scituate, Frederick Zienowicz of Warwick and the late Vincent, Francis (Steve), Julian, Florian, Raymond, Stanley and John Zienowicz, Monia Konerko, Ann Katkowski and Eleanor Danko.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2014 at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.
