(06/23/14) Providence - Herbert F. “Tony” Casperson III, 58, of Cromwell Street died unexpectedly at home on Friday, June 20, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Theresa C. (Zonfrilli) Casperson with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on August 7, 2013. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Herbert F. “Sonny” and Mildred E. “Ethel” (Buxton) Casperson, Jr. He was a machine operator employed by Worcester Textile in Centredale. Herb was a man of integrity who always kept his word. He was very handy, capable of building or fixing anything. Despite contracting Polio at a very young age he was always a happy and amazingly optimistic man. Anyone could call him and he would be there in a moment’s notice. His sense of humor was infectious; always made you laugh and he had the best punch lines. While in his presence you always walked away learning something. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Heather M. Morsilli & her husband Michael of Attleboro, MA and Teresa A. Casperson of Cranston; five siblings: Chester W. Field of Foster, Violet Field of Providence, Louise Evans of Goosecreek, SC, Patricia Laurino of Summerville, SC and William Casperson of North Providence and three grandchildren: Michael, Marissa & Madison Morsilli. He was the brother of the late Frances Fantasia and Edith Czerwein. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in the evening at 7:00 at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Kindly omit flowers. Donations to financially assist the family would be greatly appreciated.
