(06/22/14) William A. MacKenzie, 72, of New Boston Rd., Fall River, Fall River, husband of Carol A. (Murphy) MacKenzie, died Monday, June 16, 2014.
A plumber, pipefitter and welder, he was a former employee of Flanagan Plumbing and Heating, Derecktor Shipyard, Blount Boats and Earth Tech.
He served in the Navy and was a longtime Boys and Girls Club of Fall River Volunteer.
Besides his wife of 30 years, he leaves eight children, Donald, Debra, William, Keith, Kathryn, Angus “A D”, Army Staff Sergeant Todd, and Christopher MacKenzie; two stepsons, Jeffrey and James Cormier; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Priscilla MacKenzie; the son of the late Donald and Inez (Shaw) MacKenzie and the brother of the late Donald MacKenzie and Inez Normile.
