(05/11/14) Erick Ivan Mata, 18, of West Warwick passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was a beloved son of Ignacio and Maricela (Hernandez) Mata of West Warwick. Loving brother of Ignacio Mata Hernandez, Randy Mata and Max Mata, all of West Warwick.
Erick was a member of the Army Reserve and a member of the West Warwick High School Band for three years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Tuesday from 8:30-10:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. John the Baptist Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
