(05/09/14) Cumberland – Grace M. (Atkinson) Jackson, 105, formerly of Scott Road, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice, Providence. She was the wife of the late Samuel Jackson.
She was a daughter of the late Robert and Anne (Ferguson) Atkinson and had lived in Cumberland for most of her life.
Mrs. Jackson was an executive secretary in the textile industry in Norwich, CT and later worked at Ken Rowbottom’s Photography Studio in Cumberland before retiring.
She was a member of the former Berkeley Methodist Church, Cumberland and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Lincoln.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith A. Cyronak and her husband, Charles of Block Island and Joyce M. Jackson and her husband, Lawrence T. Mello of Tubac, AZ; her grandson-in-law, Michael J. Wrobleski and three great grandchildren, Wanda Grace Wrobleski, Joseph Samuel Wrobleski and Lucy Isabel Wrobleski, all of Providence. She was the grandmother of the late Andra K. Cyronak MD, and the sister of the late Arthur Atkinson, Mary Ellen Learned and Annie McDonald.
Her funeral service will be celebrated MONDAY, MAY 12 at 11 A.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 Woodland Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Ballou Cemetery, Ashton.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Church MONDAY 10-11 A.M.
