(05/05/14) Lincoln – William N. Seaward, 89, of Kilburn Avenue died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. He was the husband of Jocelyn E. (Glassey) Sanford Seaward and the late Priscilla M. (Meharg) Seaward.
Born in Newton, MA, a son of the late William S. and Inez A. (Corner) Seaward, he had lived in Lincoln for over 65 years.
Mr. Seaward worked for the former E. L. Freeman Company in Providence and Pawtucket for over 40 years retiring as a store manager.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a longtime member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, Cumberland and had served on numerous boards at the Church. He was a charter member of the Cumberland-Lincoln Community Chorus and a charter member of Encore For Your Pleasure.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Bradford W. Seaward and his wife, Mary Lou of Pomfret, CT; his stepchildren, Susan Sanford of Fall River, MA and Scott Sanford of Cumberland; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Seaward.
His funeral service will be celebrated THURSDAY, MAY 8 at 11 A.M. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 126 Angell Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls.
