(04/22/14) BEAUCHAINE, Loretta C. (Messier), 97, formerly of Nolan Street, West Warwick, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of the late Elmer C. Beauchaine. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Xavier and Alexandria (Lebrun) Messier. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Mrs. Beauchaine was a caregiver at the former Ladd School for 25 years before retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of SS. John and James Parish where she was a member of the Union of Prayer, member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the American Association of Retired Persons, Coventry Golden Ages and enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Gerard Beauchaine of West Warwick and Raymond Beauchaine and his wife Sandra of Coventry; three daughters, Ellen Bassett and her husband John of Hope Mills, NC, Margaret Snow of West Warwick and Linda Fitzgerald and her husband Thomas of West Warwick; a brother, George Messier of Warwick; two sisters, Cecile Noel in NH and Rosa Gamblin in TN; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John, Theodore, Anthony and Rosemary Messier and Marie Hebert.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Apr. 25, 2014 at 9 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Washington St., West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick.
