45, of Cranston, R.I. passed away on Tuesday, April 1st 2014, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He leaves behind his junior high school sweetheart, the love of his life, his soul mate and best friend, his wife of 20 years Jannette (Benoit) Rebello, his cat Holly Girl and his beloved family; his mother Nancy Downie and stepfather John Downie, brother Gene Rebello, stepgrandma Ellen Downie, parents-in-law Sandy and Richard Benoit, brother-in-law Mike Benoit and his sweetheart Karen Anderson, sister-in-law Heidi Lepore and her husband Joe Lepore. He was the proud uncle of his 4 nieces; Heather, Kristy, Courtney, Stephanie, 4 great nieces and 5 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Rebello Sr., his Paternal Grandmother Martha (Grover) Rebello, and his Maternal Grandparents Flore and Virginia ( Frazier) Saccoccia.
Jon was an avid Patriots and Nascar fan. He enjoyed listening to music and in the summertime, tending to his cherished lawn. But taking care of family was always his number one priority.
Jon will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor. He loved to laugh and make people smile. He was someone you could always count on, whether it was to lend a helping hand or just an ear to listen. He was a very loving and caring man. His generosity and kind spirit will be remembered forever.

His funeral is Friday at 9 a.m. form \\\"WOODLAWN\\\" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Funeral Service in Bethany Lutheran Church 116 Rolfe Square, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8 p.m.
