(04/01/14) Norman E. Clark, 82, of Colvintown Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at home. Born in Hope, RI, he was the husband of Nancy B. (Boynton) Clark. They were married for fifty-six and a half years. He was the son of the late George H. and Ethel (Elmer) Clark.
Norman was a lineman for Davol, Inc. for forty-three years until retiring. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church, of Hope, RI, he loved square dancing and working on cars. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and NASCAR fan. He loved teaching his grandsons special little songs and in his younger years he was a volunteer fireman for Hope-Jackson Fire Department.
Besides his wife he is survived by four children; Terri L. Bruneau, Jeffrey A. Clark, Gregory A. Clark and Jill S. Metivier, a sister; Lillian Hillman and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers; George H. Clark and Harold Clark and a sister; Ruth Wolf.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 12:00 pm in the Shepherd of the Valley United Methodist Church, 604 Seven Mile Road, Hope, RI, followed by US Military Honors. Burial will be private.
